Hoop Dee Do PS????

How far in advance do I need to make PS for HDD? We are going to WDW Jan 29- Feb 4 and would like to do this. I don't think it's a very busy time at WDW, but you never know...

For the "best" seats, it's usually advised that you make the PS as soon as you know your dates.

You can make HDDR reservations up to two years in advance.The sooner you make them the closer to stage you are going to be.If you are a party of two sometimes you can snag a table near stage a month or two in advance.

I am going in October of 2005 and I made my reservation in April of 2004. Wanna get a good table for me and DS.

We've always gotten good seats making reservations when we book our trip, which is usually 8-10 months in advance. Every time it was just the two of us we got the center table at the edge of the stage.

Once you have a PS can they tell you where you will be seated? I have a PS for our November trip & would like to know where our table is. I see that jimmiej knew where he would be seated before getting there. Just curious!!

We've never been able to determine where our seats will be until we are taken to the table. Concierge couldn't tell us and neither could Disney Dining. In fact, the concierge said that HDD holds this information very close to the vest and is absolutely tight lipped with any information relative to seating.

We did figure out that table 12 is broken down as Row 1 (stage), table 2 (just next to the stage stairs). At least that's what we believe the "code" for table numbers to be--we could be all wet!

In answer to the original ? -- get those reservations PDQ. I've had mine for 6/12/05 since our return on 6/19/04. I've actually made reservations 23 months in advance (that was the table 12 assignment). Most times it's closer to 12-18 months out and we have always been in the first or second row. Frankly, I prefer the 2nd or 3rd row back center stage--much more interaction with the players and the view is better--no neck craning.

I agree that you won't know until you get there. In fact, they changed our table as we entered last month to accomodate my DDs powerchair. I had advised them of it when I made the reservation but I think many people transfer out of chairs which she was not doing.

When I made the PS for our upcoming trip, I asked if they (Disney Dining) could tell me if we would be seated upstairs. She said that she couldn't tell me specifically, BUT that there would be lots of seats still available. This led me to believe that we would be seated downstairs somewhere -- fingers crossed !
