50 some dollars per person for this two hour show. That's just about a whole day at a park. Is this seriously worth the price?

I definitely think it's worth it. It's all you can drink and eat as well. La Nouba is around $60 I believe for a 90 minute show.

We had a great time, it was very different. The food wasn't gourmet, but very good and all you can eat. I wouldn't spend the money a 2nd time though.

I definitly think it's worth it. Even if you jsut do it once for the experience, It's a great show! My family used to do it every year and we loved it!! I still love it!

Remember that that is about the same price at any other dinner show, like all the mystery dinner theaters in our area, Medieval Times, etc that are everywhere - so put that way, it's not really too bad for a great night out and a special treat.

I have been twice, both as children, and they are some of my few memories of family vacations to WDW. They were lasting - and I know that I enjoyed myself. I can't wait to take my children there someday.

I think if you like having a good time, involving the family, eating southern food (fried chicken adn the such), and some corny humor - you'll love it.

Think about doing it on a day in which you don't do the parks, so you're not paying for both. LIke, the first night you're there, and you don't want to hit the park immediately. Its a great first night activity =)

I think it is worth it. We had 9 people in our group (4 adults & 5 kids btw 4 & 11) and all loved it. My nefew was even picked to go onstage at one time. He is the little actor in the group! It was so funny!! The food was great, as long as you like that kind of food and the entertainment was wonderful!

Its not a whole day at the park. Its just the 2 hours. I have a res for the 7:15 show. Animal Kingdom is the park we will be at that day and it will close at 5 or 6. We wont miss any of the park. Schedule it for the 7 or 9 pm show and on the same day as you do AK.

We love it! HDD is a tradition in my family. We see it on our first night in Disneyworld for every trip we take there. It's so much fun and they have the best friend chicken I've ever had. And I'm from the south so that's saying something :smooth:

Went last year for the first time after debating the same thing of was it worth it. We had a great time!! Chicken was very good, all you can eat. All food was good, but i didnt care for dessert of strawberry shortcake, i just dont like it. Show was very funny and we are thinking of going again this year.

We pondered the same thing but we went a couple of weeks ago and decided, yes it is worth the money. It was a great show, with plenty of fine food (not the best ever). If I was paying $50 for the food, I'd be furious, but the entertainment is so worth it. Everyone in our group had a laugh at this (especially DS3 who laughed so loud everybody turned and looked) and they are still singing the song now. So, yes I'm glad I did it but no, I don't think I need to go back again.

definately worth it. We went last year and my kids,(DD's 12 and 8), still talk about it. We are going again this year and taking my parents. They took us kids in about 1979.

I think I'm the only one around who would say that it isn't worth it. But we haven't gone since our honeymoon in 1988. Even then everyone was telling us how wonderful it was and that we couldn't miss it, so maybe it was just too built up and we had higher expectations than we should have. I also went once as a child in the mid-late '70's and wasn't particularly impressed.

I have a best friend who absolutely loves it and goes every time.

I love it! We have never payed full price though, so I can't judge if it's worth it or not! My boyfriend is a cast member and it has always cost us $25. The first time we went with my anti-disney sister and her unpleasant boyfriend, and they actually loved it!! I was so nervous that they would be miserable or think it was corny, but they had a blast! (I am pretty sure the sangria had something to do with it).

We also took a family of 8 with us one night. They are family friends and the ages are 22, 20, 18, 18, 16. ALL BOYS! I was sure they would make fun of me for taking them there but they had so much fun! Their dad was brought up on stage at the end and they had so much fun watching them up there! It was the highlight of their entire vacation! They thanked us a million times! (they even bought the pictures) ... BUT we payed half price, so again, I can't say if it's worth it... but I can say that so many different types of people love that show! :bounce:

YES, it is worth every penny! At least my nutty bunch thinks so! Last trip we took the 7 of us 45, 43, 25, 23, 22, 17 and 12 everyone had a blast. It is just good clean fun! :earsboy:

Ya gotta do it at least once, just so you know what it's all about. :) The food is awesome homecooking. Can't get fried chicken that good anywhere else!
