Does this sound like I have left enough time?? I know it is a pain to travel to Fort Wilderness, so I am trying to alot myself enough time. We are at the Studios on May 30. We have a ressie for the 6:15 show. I thought leave the studios at 3:30 via bus to Wilderness Lodge. Look around here for a little bit, as I have never been to the resort. Then at 5 take a boat to Fort Wilderness, giving us a little time to look around and figure out where to go. Speaking of which, where will the boat take me? Will I then walk to Pioneer Hall, or is there something to ride? What happens after I get off of the bus??

a lot of the times the bus you take to Wilderness Lodge will be going on to the Fort. granted you would then take the internal bus to other end of campground. should you stay and visit the Lodge and take the boat it is a short walk from boat to Hoop. walk would be less than 5 minutes after getting off boat which depending on number on boat could take longer to get off than walk that is how short walk is

I would go to the MK rather than WL. Buses between DHS and MK now drop off in the same area that the resort buses use. So....get to MK, walk over to the boat dock. Get on a boat headed to WL/FtW.
I would leave DHS by 4:30 if you go to MK first.

If you want to head to WL and look around...then sure, leave DHS by 3:30. It's a beautiful resort, and one that shouldn't be missed. When you're done looking around, head out towards the main pool area, down a ramp that leads to Roaring Forks food court. Go out the door, and walk towards the lake...there should be signage. The pool will be on your right. Go down the path to the docks...be sure to get in the line for FtW. Get off the boat at FtW, walk up the path (takes about 2 mins) and Pioneer Hall is there on your right.

Awesome! Thank you both. I plan afterwards to just head to MK and then bus to Pop! I know, hurry up and wait, right. :rotfl2:

It's been a few years, but the last time we went to HDD, there were buses available after the dinner/show to take folks from Pioneer Hall back to the various Disney resorts. If they still do that, you wouldn't have to make the transfer at MK (assuming you aren't planning to visit MK after dinner).

I don't think they offer bus service to resorts if MK is still open. When I've gone, the last show of the night ended after MK closed, so there were buses. The rime we went to the early show, there were no buses.

The thing to keep in mind if there are buses offered from the Pioneer Hall area to resorts.......many resorts are included on one bus. It could take an hour to get to your resort!

We are going to the 6:15 show, so MK will definitely be open. We will most likely just catch the bus there. My husband loves old vaudeville, corny slapstick comedy, but doesn't really like country music, but I hope he enjoys it.
