Hoop De Doo Revue: Cat 1@9:30 or Cat 2@7:15?

We are a party of 6 and are going to the Hoop De Doo Revue on Thursday, Oct. 2. We booked late (only 30 days out), but I was still able to book Cat. 1 seating at 9:30 PM (the other 2 showtimes were sold out). BUT, I call everyday to see if there are cancellations. So, *IF* there is a cancellation at the 7:15 PM show, I could only do a Cat 2 because I am on the Disney Dining Plan. Should I switch if I could? We are 6 ppl ages 13 - 52.

I think the 9:30 PM show will be a bit late for dinner, but DH likes it's Cat 1. So, we are stumped!

I've been to all all of them. They are all identically good.

I went to the 7:15 show in Cat 2 and was satisfied with the experience. We had as much interaction with the performers as did many of the Cat. 1 tables.

I've only been to a cat 1. 2 of us, and we were the 2nd table back on the left side. So very close to the stage and such. It was great, I'm sure that anywhere would be great though, but I did vote for later cat 1 seating (actually what we are doing this year)

We went in 1999 and had a cat 3 table. It was nice and we enjoyed it. However this past Feb we went at 9:30 with a cat 1 table and LOVED it. We are going again with a cat 1 at 9:30. Enjoy

We had cat 2 at 7:15 and it was fine, also a party of 6 - seated in the upper deck but directly facing the stage. The actors come upstairs too, so no one is missed by sitting up there.

Cat. 1 is great seating...we've had it before, but I would choose to eat that food as early as you can. Being that they serve family style & bring some GREAT food eating at 9:30 is late...unless you don't mind that full feeling that late in the evening.

When we went 2 years ago we were in the very front on the right side. There was 3 of us and we felt we were just to close and our necks hurt by constantly looking up at the stage. We are going again next month but are sitting in cat. 2. I noticed both cat. had about the same amount of interaction.

1) Do the Cat-1 seats.
2) There are reasons for Cat-2 and Cat-3.
3) And there are reasons for the reduction in price for Cat-2 and Cat-3.
4) If the seats were as-good, then they would be priced identically.

What age is the best for this? We have never done it and booked it for our next trip...my dd is 4 but keep wondering if we might be better off doing a 1 credit character dinner? thanks!

We did Cat 1 last year and didn't like the fact that we were right up against the stage. Personally, i would do Cat 2 and be away from the stage. Even the cheap seats are fine.

We were just there last week, with Cat.1 and once we got there I felt sorta silly trying sooo hard to get Cat.1, thinking the seating would be drastically different since there were different Categories....Not so! I would definitely take the Cat. 2 at 7:15!

I've been 7 times and always at 9:30. I don't want to give up park time. And I always like to eat later anyway. Not to mention the free beer leads to a great night's sleep(or could it be going from early morning to after midnight?). I've been in cat 3 once, never cat 2. I only want cat 1 after sitting upstairs. With me though, it's just being over the stage that bugs me.

Though Ive only sat in Cat. 1 at the late sitting Id still recommend it because its right up in front of the stage. There is less people (depending on time of the year) for the late sitting so at least during the night I was there no one was sitting in the balcony. Everyone in your party is old enough that I dont see it being an issue as well!
