We're staying off-site at a villa, and have rented a car for the week. We have ADR at Hoop De Doo; I've read in different places that it's difficult to get there with WDW transportation. We're planning on driving there; are there maps/directions to Pioneer Hall available somewhere?

We've done Hoop Dee Doo twice... the first time using Disney transportation and the second time with a car. Honestly, I think it was easier with Disney transportation... we took the boat from MK over there and then caught a bus back to our resort after it was over.

When we had a car, we had to park in the parking lot a LONG way from Pioneer Hall and then catch a bus to Pioneer Hall... it was confusing to determine which bus to get on and then where to get off... then when the show was over, we had to do the same thing in reverse... maybe it was just us, but I think I'd use Disney transportation if I did it again.

I agree. Disney transportation is much easier. We also took the bus to MK then the boat to FW and that gets you right into the campground. After the show they had buses at FW that went directly to each resort so we just hopped a bus back . They were well prepared in getting everyone abck to the resort afterwards. If you drive you have to park at the entrance to FW and then take a bus into the campground and vice versa on your way back.

Realy not that hard to drive. Park in the HDDR lot, just past the main FW lot. The Hddr lot has no gaurd gate. Once you are parked head to the bus stop, the bus stop is near the horses not the check in building. HDDR is is an area of FW called Settlement, so board any of the buses that say Settlement(Yellow and Purple wil be fastes, Orange goes through cabin and camping areas so it may take 2/3 min longer). Sttlement is not hard to find and the bus/driver will announce what stops you are at so that should help. When the show is over simply walk back to the bus stop and board any OUTPOST bus(Outpost is the opposite end, where you parked). "As the crow flies" it is about 1 mile from Outpost to Settlement.

You really do not have a choice. You have to take Disney Transportation to get to the Settlement, since there is no parking there.

Since you are not staying on property, HappyDznyCamper gave perfect directions. Park at the outpost, take a bus to the Settlement and you are there.

We are not staying on site, can we get transportation from Downtown Disney to the HHDR? we are withing walking distance to Downtown Disney.

Yes, take the bus from DTD to FW and then switch to the internal FW bus to the Settlement. When returning do that in reverse.

From DTD you would board a bus to FW, it will take you to Outpost, from there follow the above directions from the parking lot. You could also take a bus to Wilderness Lodge and transfer there to the FW bus, the HDDR would be the next stop after you transfer at WL. The time for either would be about the same, so I would board wich ever bus comes first(assuming none of the buses are serving multiple resorts).

We are going to be coming from EPCOT when we go. Would it be better to take the bus to FW or the monorail to MK and take the boat over?

Taking the bus to FW or WL as mentioned above would be fastest. Taking the monorail would be very long, but fun. You would first take a monorail to the TTC, then transfer the the MK monorail, then board a boat the FW. Depending on how long you have to wait for any of those transfers it could take more than an hour.
