Hi- Can anyone please help guide me to the better choice? I have a ds 4 and a dd 7.. which do you think they would prefer? hoop de doo or the luau? thank you!

Hoop De Doo without a doubt! They will love it and the food is kid friendly. I have seen HDD with all ages of kids and they always love it. We saw the Luau this past year and were very disappointed. The authentic dancing part was still great but they have added a very cheesy poorly acted story to it that is painful to watch. my DS 7 was not interested in that part at all and the family next to us with small kids walked out because they were getting restless. I also thought the food at the luau had stooped to banquet quality and was only fair.

You won't be disappointed with Hoop De Doo.

Hoop Dee Doo as they may be too young to appreciate the Luau. Hoop Dee Doo is fun for all ages.

Would a 22 month-old like the Hoop de Do Revue? We're staying at VWL in Aug. and we could walk to FW for the Hoop de Do. I hadn't even considered doing it until I read this thread! My DD likes shows at Disney and Sea World.

This show is not geared "for" children. However, there are many younger kids there and they seem happy enough. The entertainment provided is geared for ages 10 and up. My 6 year old LOVED it when she went. I would say that most under the age of 5 will just not "get" anything about it but will enjoy the music, dancing, and clapping.

If you go to Hoop de doo don't forget to bring a sweater! It was so cold there when we went that the waiters were bringing out table cloths and draping them over people's shoulders to keep them warm.

Hoop De Doo = Family enjoyment.

For your youngsters, the Luau will be a mix of entertainment, boredom, and fear (fire).

My 9,7 and 6 year old boys loved the HDDR. Go see that, you wont regret it.

Hoop De Doo hands down. My son was 6 when we went and got picked to be the "hero" for the melodrama. One of his best memories that year. DS 12 at the time loved it too as did everyone in our party.

We all liked it allot more than the Luau.

We haven't done either, but we planned to go to the Luau in Jan 2006 and it was cancelled due to cold weather. If you are going in the winter time, this could be an issue for you as well.

HDDR is indoors while the Luau is in a covered outdoor pavillion. That's probably why they canceled it for you.

Thanks everyone. This confirmed for me to do the Hoop De Doo. I love this board! Thanks again!

I too am looking to do either or so my question would be would the recommendations still favor HDDR? My 62 year old mother in law will be with us and is not a big or ecletic eater but would certainly enjoy the entertainment.

Hoop-Dee-Doo is by far the better show. Poly Luau is great, but HDD is much more entertaining. :)
