How long does it take to get to the Hoop De Doo from Pop Century?

What is the best way to get there using the Disney Transportation System?

The easiest way is to take a bus to MK then take the boat to FW. It is a short walk up the sidewalk from the boat launch. I would give yourself atleast 45 minutes. You can always look around.

We are going to HDDR in September (our first visit--very excited!!). Will we be able to return the same way (boat to MK and bus to POP) if we go to the 9:30pm seating? I assume we won't finish at HDDR until 11:00pm or so and MK is scheduled to close at 9:00pm that night.

I did read on these boards that there was a bus service right back to each WDW resort after the late HDD and reserved our ADR's at the 9.30 show on the strength of that. Perhaps someone who has already done this would kindly confirm this and if the buses are 'laid on' there isn't too much waiting around after the show.

We also have a 9:30 seating and need the answer to this . It's our first time
HDDR hope someone can answer

You won't be stranded. At the very least, you could take a bus from Fort Wilderness to DTD and then to your resort.

Other than that, if the MK is open late so you could ferry to MK and then to your resort bus.

Once when we were staying at Pop century a bus driver told us the fastest way to get to other resorts would be to take the bus to MGM (since it's the closest park) and catch the resort bus from there. I don't know if this would be faster than going to MK or not in this case, but it's another option.

When we went to HDDR in Dec. 2003, we had our own vehicle but once we got there we took the boat launch over to FW and then we took the bus back to WL after (to get our car). I don't remember if the launch was running-but being as it was Dec. it was too cold to consider!

I don't remember waiting for the bus at all.

To get to HDDR the MK route is the best. The cruiser from MK to FW drops you off less than a 5 min walk to HDDR. The bus from DHS(MGM), Epcot or AK drop you off at the front of FW and you will need to catch an internal bus or walk approx 1 mile to the HDDR.

As far as getting home after the late show, I have seen buses lined up to take guests home(never used them since I stay at FW). Several resorts will share a bus, so make sure you check and double check that you are getting on the right one.

MGM is the best way to go to minimize walking. The bus from MGM to WL/Ft. Wilderness stops first at WL, then its next stop is Pioneer Hall. We did this last September and the only problem was we got there 50 minutes before our show. And after the 9:30 show, there will be several busses waiting to take folks back to their resort. It won't be a bus to Pop only, each bus will make multiple stops.
But they've done it a thousand times and have it down to a science.

They changed the route in October(I think) and now all park buses go to the front of FW(The Outpost depot) not to the Settlement Depot(stop for HDDR)

Can we drive to the FW resort and just walk from the parking area to pioneer hall or do we have to take the internal bus to pioneer hall?

You must take the internal bus route....but it's not bad at all.

You deffinately won't be stranded as they have buses running to all resorts after each show. :)

There are 3 internal buses(orange, yellow and purple) you can take any one of them. They all go to Settlement(HDDR stop), they just take different roads inside the campground to get there.
You can walk there is a path, but it is about 1 mile, so unless you want to work off some of the food ahead of time, take the bus.

Thanks. I think I will take the bus instead of walking...especially after being in AK earlier that day!
