Hoop de doo??? First come first serve??

I have read that the seating is assigned by when you book. My husband just got off the phone with reservations and she said it was first come first serve at the door??? I am pretty sure she is wrong but could someone that has been recently confirm this?? Thanks.

We just ate there Friday. It is NOT first-come, first-served. We were seated at table 74, which was noted on our Hoop-Dee-Doo confirmation ticket that we got three days before the show. The tables are assigned according to when you make the reservation and how many in your party.

Thanks dixiedizfan, We wanted to have the correct info so we didn't get there early and wait for nothing! Our trip isn't until August so I am crossing my fingers for good seats!!

I do know it is not first come first serve, but the concierge at the Poly made our reservations only a week before and we had a table close to the stage, right in the path of the actors. I couldn't imagine a better table if we made the reservation 2 years out. I imagine there is a system--I just don't know what it is.

I made our ressies in September I think and we were in the very front row on Saturday night. What a great show! I never imagined being that close though when we booked it.

Not first come first serve. We were half way in the line upon entering and we were put up close to the stage.

I called 60 days out and we were on the dinning plan and we got in the center first table. Man were we close...

we've been twice... first time i made the ressies at the "last minute" (maybe ten days out?) and we had floor seats halfway up the room... a year later (same week of the year) i made our ressies a couple of months in advance and we ended up in the balcony at the 2nd worst table in the place (we were looking over the stage)... the first time we were in line 3/4 of the way back in the line; second time we were dead last on line 'cause we sat on the porch of crockett's having cocktails figuring it did not matter... imo, it matters!

Great if this is true, we reserved 100 days out. I called after seeing this post to see what version the CM would give me ..and she said that it is NOT first come first serve (I was told at time of res to arrive 45 mins in advance for prefered seating), but went on to tell me that they can not guarantee or reserve seating either.

So I will just go 45 minutes ahead of our show time of 7:15, and hope for the best. What more can I do but to have a little faith in the magic of Disney!

We are going in June and I made the reservations back in September '05. So that is 8-9 months out. Hopefully we will be getting a good table!

I believe when we passed the sign in late December it said $50 and some cents tax and tip included, but I could be a bit off. It is at least 50. If you the DDE card, I think you get 50% off the LAST SHOW! We love this but haven't done it in 4 years. Think it's on the agenda again for this June. I hate eating that much at night, but without the discount, I still don't think I can justify a table for 5.
We prefer to sit in the balcony, at the table facing the stage directly, kind of right behind the light and sound box. No one is ever in your way and they do come into the balcony. DD got selected for the final number from there. Sat there twice without asking. The last trip we asked to be seated there, only to be told they didn't plan on having the balcony open that night. Well, of course they did and of course we weren't seated there.....rather seated at the table nearest to the kitchen door, where we dealt with kitchen noise and the servers running past our table the entire time. Although we were much closer to the stage, I was not at all happy. DD got chosen to participate again (just one of those people I guess) and you felt a bit more in the action, but the balcony was much much better in my opinion. However, I would not have wanted one of those side tables in the balcony. Guess I am just picky.

We called a few days ago for Hoop De Doo in July and I was asked about the table size I wanted. We have five in our family and they could put us at a table for 4 - 5 or one for 6 ... so I opted for more room and took the 2nd choice. I have no idea where it will be, but it was clear a table was chosen for us.

Its only 20% off the last show with the DDE card, not 50% off. Full price is clost to $53 for adults and that includes tax and tip so not bad.

The table is assigned when you make your reservation. When you get your tickets it has the table number on it (like dixiedizfan said). Take a look at the picture they take before the show. The Hoop Dee Doo sign you stand around has a 3 digit number that matches the table number on the reservation (you'll see the CM who is helping with your picture spin the numbers into place after they ask for your reservation sheet just prior to the picture). That's the way the picture salesperson can find you when they come around to sell the pictures.
