Hooks vs pegs

We are sort of redoing part of our hall bathroom and I took the towel bar down. I want to replace it with a bar that has like 5 pegs on it. I saw it in a magazine and now cant find it again. Go figure! It was chrome finish, and had 5 pegs on it I believe.

I thought about just putting hooks up, but I dont think the towel will stay well. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I had a wooden shaker peg rack in my previous home that worked great, and use a plastic/rubber (?) coated over-the door hook thingy in my present guest bath that also works well.

I also bought a brushed chrome over-the-door hook thingy with large knobs that totally stinks! Way too slippery, everything falls off. Guess that's why it was on sale at Tuesday Morning...

I love hooks! I always use them in bathrooms. So much easier to use than bars. This was the "French " hall bath I decorated in our last house....

In the master bath I had single hooks from a bathroom fixture line. I had more of a spa like decor in that bathroom. I thought both types worked fine. As I keep telling the kids though, you do have to scrunch a bit as you hang. I still prefer the hooks for kids too. So much more likely to hang up than with a bar.

I see a whole lot of choices out there now. Home Depot, Lowes, etc, all have a pretty large hook bar selection. My "French" hooks were from Hobby Lobby.

We put in a peg towel fixture in the kids bathroom, and I hate it! The towels are always slipping of of it. I bought some hooks to replace it, now I just have to wait for my dh to get around to it.
