Anyone have any opinions on Hooks Pointe restaurant? DH wants to eat there on our next trip and I haven't heard much about it.

Looks like there is no input. Did you try to google Hooke's Point reviews.

Thanks blackjackdelta, I have looked a little. The bulk of the reviews seemed to be older ('05 and earlier). I'll just have to dig a little deeper I guess. Thanks again!

I really like Hook's Pointe. The menu has shrunk over the years but the last time I ate there (about eighteen months ago) it was still very good. Its pricey so be prepared for that! But we have always enjoyed it very much. I am sorry I don't have more recent input!

We really liked Hooke's Point but haven't been since the fall of 2006. (We have gone to WDW instead :lmao:) It's definitely a pricey meal but I didn't think it was over-priced. We had a tuna tartar, a really nice steak and my husband got some kind of pork chop. We even took my DD who was four at the time and they were great with her. They have some nice wines and great staff when we were there. We are planning on eating there again this fall. Hope that helps and have a great trip!!! :yay:

Glad to hear from someone who has eaten there. I had never heard anyone mention it on the boards, so I was afraid it wasn't very good. Thanks for the input everyone!

We ate there last year before going to the Halloween party and really enjoyed it. We had the first seating of the evening, so the restaurant was empty when we arrived which was nice. The food was good (I had the Sausage Fettuccini and really enjoyed it) They atmosphere was great, and the CM's we wonderful with the kids.

We went in May of this year. We really like it. Food and service was good. We had the Ahi Tuna and steak dinners and inland salad (loved the salad!!) The kids had mac and cheese dinners. We would go again.

We were there earlier this year and I was very happy with it. I thought the pricing was great and we had a very good time.

We went for our Anniversary last year. It was delicious! We will absolutely be returning! We didn't think the food was so expensive (it is DL, so it is, but we didn't think it was bad for what got considering) but the drinks were OUTRAGEOUS!!

Here's some pics...
This is the chicken, I had it with the risotto

Mikayla, the drinks are expensive! That is probably why I still think "pricey" when I think Hook's Pointe! But to me, its a great meal. We have been there several times over the years with never anything but a wonderful experience. I also really like the atmosphere, its a nice place to go, generally a bit quiet and low key.

like others have mentioned the menu has changed. The last time i ate there they had a firecracker pasta that was sooo delish but they no longer have this dish ( at least not the last time we went) so i opted not to eat there again.
It's not really themed much. And with kids i'd pass. My kids thought it was so so. And for the money i'd rather go some place they will enjoy

Does anyone think this would be a good alternative to Steakhouse 55 for an anniversary dinner? We did the steakhouse last year and are looking for someplace different. We will be there without the kids of course.

I think I had some sort of mojito and it was close to $20! :faint: Plus it wasn't very good and I was disapointed because I love mojitos! We paid for the drinks separately that's probably why we noticed it more.

FourM's - We had our anniversary dinner there and it was great. Not the most romantic dinner I have ever had, but it was quiet and the food was good.

We ate there during our trip the first of this month. We were pretty under-whelmed. It's was fairly expensive, and the portions were on the small size. My husband was less than impressed with his four scallops. We probably won't go back. Too many other choices in DTD.
