Hoods and Driving

I often wonder how people can drive with a hood on - the hood of their coat/jacket. I see this so often now. Doesn't it effect their perifpheral vision?

I'm sure it does affect their vision, but it is a fashion choice, not a safety choice. I'm sure they think they look "cool" with their faux fur trimmed hood up for everyone to see that they are wearing the trendy flavor of the week. Sad.
