We did a month in Kenya and Tanzania.

FWIW, I’ve been to Hawaii and Tokyo and, as I said in the Hawaii thread, I wouldn’t have any interest in returning to Hawaii but I would jump at the chance to go back to Japan. I agree with the PP upthread that they should expand the trip to include more than just Tokyo, though, but a good trip could be had either way.

We spent 2.5 weeks traveling through Italy. We intentionally had a small wedding to have a bigger honeymoon budget.

Went on cruise with Carnival. Flew to Puerto Rico and went to St. Thomas, St Maarten, Barbados, Martinique and Aruba. Had a ball. Hard to believe that has been 33 years

Got married at Disney and stayed for the honeymoon.

Married at the Polynesian in March. Left on the 16th for two weeks in Hawaii. We spent 10 days at Aulani and then 4 days in Maui at the Westin in Lahaina.

Our original plan was to do Italy, Greece, and Croatia (where some of my family still lives) but due to Covid we decided to stay in the U.S.

We are both big hockey fans so we did a hockey "themed" honeymoon. We flew to Montreal, stayed a night and in the morning, we took the train up to Quebec City to stay at the Chateau Frontenac - such an amazing hotel. We did a few days exploring Quebec City and then started the hockey portion - train to Ottawa for a game, then to Toronto for a couple of days - drove to Buffalo for a game, went to the Hockey Hall of Fame, Maple Leafs game, arena tour, TSN Studios tour, etc. Then we went back to Montreal for a Canadiens game, arena tour, and stayed a few extra days to just explore the city. It was an amazing trip, but as a native California girl, I froze my butt off...and it was in April! I don't know if it was unseasonably cold or what, but I remember just being sooooo cold!!

A family member had a house in Hatteras NC. We spent a week, had a great time.

First marriage stayed a month in Morocco.

Second marriage since we had a newborn, we spent a weekend away in Plymouth, MA since it was the fall and we didn't want to be too far from the baby.

3 week trip: 1 week at SC beach and 2 weeks in Oregon with outlaws

However, by the time we could afford to, we already had sold our first place and bought our first house and the kids were 6 and 9 years old.

Let me tell you, the Honeymoon isn't quite the same when you have 6 and 9 year old children with you, LOL.

Second marriage--honeymoon trip was 10 days in WDW

If one wants HI and one wants Japan then I would definitely do both since HI stop will break up those flights. So I would do one island for 4-5 days, Japan for 10-12 days, and then another island for 4-5 days.

We took an easy one, sandals Saint Lucia. After the wedding I just wanted to relax.

We did Halcyon Beach concierge level so units closer to the water, which resort did you do?

We were sooo young. I had just graduated & started working 2 & a half months before our wedding. So I couldn’t take much time off & we didn’t have much money. We were married on Saturday & I had to be back at work on Thursday. We drove to Toronto for a few nights in an affordable hotel. For our 1st anniversary we spent 5 nights in one of the Pocono Mt area all inclusive honeymoon resorts. Round bed, private pool in the suite & shag carpet. Ahhh, the 70s.

We took a seven day Caribbean cruise.

We spent a week in San Francisco. Very romantic.

I wanted to go somewhere I hadn't been before. But yeah, , San Francisco and the coast/wine country/redwoods is an absolutely great honeymoon.
