Disney or somewhere else?
Will you postpone it a little?


i need some ideas, and lol, looks like Mexico is out. Although, now might be a good time to book for a later date while prices hit rock bottom.

We have 2 options planned for our honeymoon for our Sept 2010 Escape wedding.

1) Stay for 3 extra days (just the 2 of us) at WDW, and then a 4 day DCL Cruise

2) 7 day DCL cruise

This is dependant on the cruise I take with my mom in Sept of this year - we are kind of using it as a "scouting trip" to see how awesome it really is. If I love it we'll do the 7 day cruise for our honeymoon, if it's just OK we'll do nore parks time.

With our original wedding we had a postponed honeymoon (due to work) by about almost 3 months, and we spent a week in Jamaica... it was fantastic I am SOOO glad we did that, and I really encourage you to have a special trip- at disney or wherever is special to you- even if you have to postpone it a bit- because you might not do something like that again for a long time!! Especially if you have kids sooner! I look back at those pictures with the fondest of memories

This time we're doing a week at the world with the kids. It's not so much of a honeymoon exactly, LOL!! I think we won't actually have a 'second honeymoon' until the kids are much older! Sigh... maybe for our 20th?

we are staying at WDW for a week after the wedding, and I am pushing for a few days in the Caribbean this summer if budget allows... but who knows on that one! I really want to go to St Kitts for a few nights but we have to see the fund situation first. I want a few days of a "true" honeymoon (ie, without our parents and friends around lol)

We're staying at WDW for 4 days for the wedding then heading the Atlantis in the Bahamas for a week. We've been there twice before with my family and absolutely love it. This time it'll be just the two of us. We can't wait!

This is how I feel about our honeymoon

I always figured that we would honeymoon in the Maldives or the Seychelles, until DF took a new job last fall. He already has to take over a month off a few months later in June for my family's big family summer trip. I fear that he isn't going to be able to get more time off from work

So I looked into going to Sea Island since its an easy drive from Orlando and figured we could do a few nights there and then fly out of JAX. Now our wedding week seems to be stretching and we are probably going to be in disney long enough so its not going to be worth going all the way to Sea Island for a night or two.

I keep reading all of the run disney honeymoon TRs and thinking about how much fun it would be to honeymoon at disney and get free desserts, but at the same time we are there so much that its just not that special anymore.

So I have turned the whole thing over to DF - thats now his department, hopefully he comes up with a good plan.

We're staying Pre-Wedding at Beach Club
We're staying at the Cont. MK view for our honeymoon. We couldn't think of anywhere else better to go. The our favorite place on earth.
We're planning on eating at a few signature dining places.
We're planning on attending MNSSHP, where I plan to trash my dress, and DFi will be a pirate.

Other then that. We're going to relax and enjoy our time at WDW and then back to the real world as a married couple.

Thats one of my most fav events!! I know you want to trash your dress, but beware of grease, the bottom of my skirt somehow got covered in it last fall.

That happened to my pirate dress a few years ago at Pirate and Princess (glad to see it go, honestly) The dress didn't cost as much as I thought it would, and I'm not planning on my children wanting to wear it. If it doesn't make the trip home..eh. I wore it for my wedding, and it did it's job. No need to have it sit in a closet next to all my prom and homecoming dresses.

We are getting married at home on Saturday June 6, and then heading to WDW on June 8 for 2 weeks

We spent a week at wdw and then from there flew to St. Lucia for a week on the beach.

we are planning to do a "real" honeymoon, but it will be a few months afgter the ceremony at WDW.


I will be getting married in the fall, so using all my work vaca time to go to WDW for the wedding in 2010, then sometime after January when we enter a new year and have vacation time again, we will go somewhere tropical for a week or a long weekend. Then I will have NO days off until 2012. lol.

We're having a two and half week honeymoon in Disney at the beginning of July. We left a week between the wedding and the honeymoon to give us time to get things organized and get packed.

We're getting married October 12th and our HM at Disney is October 13th - 20th at POFQ! We're psyched!

We were married at Disney Dev 4 and stayed thru the 11th.

We went to Barcelona in April for a week, and we will be going to Atlantis in the Bahamas for 5 days in October since there are some good deals going on right now.

We wanted to travel a bit our first year together, and we plan to go back to Disny in October since my company has a huge conference there.
