I am just curious. I have booked my honeymoon in a 1 bedroom at SSR. Does anyone know if a 2br does not get booked, do they sometimes upgrade you to that?

I made sure when I called about it, to mention it was my honeymoon.

Did you book on points or cash? If you booked on points, there is almost no chance it will be upgraded. If you booked with CRO, a big MAYBE, but a slim one.

:teeth: LOL! I am curious! If you booked a honeymoon, why would you need two bedrooms?

Expect the best, but anticipate the worst, LOL!

It would be terribly unusual. Unlike a regular hotel, the rooms are usually pretty much booked up. Always good to let them know that it's your honeymoon, something magical could happen! But remember, at least 50% of the people visiting WDW at any given time are there for a honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, reunion, or other really special occasion - it would be hard to do something special for everyone. (and if you believe some of the posts you see on the Boards, another large portion of folks claim to have a birthday, anniversary, etc., just to see if Disney will give them something!). :rolleyes1

Arranged marriage.

Well, umm, for my(our) honeymoon, we're taking the sons from our previous marriages. So we get to go to Disney as one family, start our marriage as one blended family, they get their own room, we get our own room-and our own privacy for, well you know, and that's it. (His idea was to have a big church wedding instead of JOP. My agreement to that included the family honeymoon-he got it once he understood that they would have their own room).
I explained to the CMs so far that it is a second marriage honeymoon w/ kids. They seem to like the idea. And I've already have the groom and bride Mickey ears, but DH-to-be says he's not going to wear it. We'll see. If his son makes him, or he gets drunk one night, he might have it on.

The only way to guarantee a 2 bedroom is to book a 2 bedroom. Chances are pretty slim on the upgrade, but you never know.
