Honeymoon Registry question

We've been registered with Disney for the last few months and running up to the 45 day deadline to pay for the trip, we got a few donations to the registry. We ended up paying the balance on our credit cards - and this weekend we've had a few donations come in and a few more people say they'd be contributing closer to our wedding date.

My question is this: Is it possible, after the balance has been paid in full, to 'swap' (I guess) payments already made from our personal accounts to the gift card? When I last spoke with the Honeymoon Registry people, they seemed unsure that it was possible (one phone rep said absolutely, yes, it could be done before the trip or at the resort - a second rep I talked to later said she wasn't aware that it could be done.)

Has anyone been able to successfully change a method of payment to a gift card and have the remainder refunded to your personal account? If so, is there a timeframe or a limit (i.e. can we do a payment swap every time a contribution happens, or should it be in one big lump) - and if not, what were you told by Disney? The registry FAQ doesn't cover this question, so if you have any info for me, I'd be grateful.

Answering my own question!

If you need/want to put the gift card balance towards the honeymoon but have already paid, call the WD Travel Company (407-WDISNEY) and tell the phone rep you want to make the switch. No limitations on how often, it just has to be done before you arrive and check in at the resort. Hope this helps anyone else who might have this question in the future!
