Honeymoon Questions............OK first thing is there any benifit in telling the DVC CM person that this will be our honeymoon? Also need to know some FUN places to eat with my new bride. She is not into seafood at all when on vacation. We live in a big seaport where we tend to eat seafood alot here. I should tell you that we are staying at the BWV. thanks for any help.

OK can you define FUN for us that may help to narrow down some of the restaurants you could go to ?

Now as far as mentioning your honeymoon on DVC - I hadn't really thought about this - I kinda figured for us when we made our booking for honeymoon that as we pay with points then we probably wouldn't be upgraded from a studio to a one-bedroom or indeed if at BWV a standard view to a Boardwalk view hmmmmmm what does everyone else think ?

As far as I think, you should tell everyone you can that you are on your honeymoon. You would be surprise the little extras that they throw in for you! Definitely tell them. They might do a little something extra for you that you are not expecting to make it just a little more special

DEFINATELY TELL THEM! From what I've heard (I'll find out in a few months), it pays to tell everyone. You are not guarenteed to have any pixie dust spread your way, but if you don't tell anyone, you are guarenteed to to have any. This goes for your room, PS, and recreational activities.

As far as restaurants, you said she doesn't like seafood. Well, that eliminates.............nothing! All the "seafood" restaurants in WDW will serve steak, chicken, etc., b/c they know not everyone even in the same group are going to like seafood.

My suggestions for romantic restaurants:
1) Victoria's and Albert's (GF)
2) California Grill (CR)
3) Brown Derby (MGM)
4) Flying Fish Cafe (Boardwalk)
5) Bistro de Paris (Epcot)
6) CRT (MK)

I could go on if you need more. Oh yeah, CONGRATS!!! :bounce:

Thanks so much I will be calling them tomorrow to setup some PS. Also one more thing is there any type of shows that you know of other then the hoop de doo that would make fun of us being on your honeymoon. She really hates things like that and well I love to put her on the spot.:bounce:

You can try the Luau at the Poly or Cirque de Soleil. We're doing the Luau, but unfortunately, Cirque goes on break starting the day we get there and won't come back until after we're gone. :(

Well, Disney is pretty much one big FUN experience for me so that would qualify EVERY restaurant but some of the highlights from my October honeymoon would be:

1) The character breakfast at Chef Mickey's. This is a buffet type of meal but everything was very fresh. The characters come around to each table to interact with you. Since we were wearing our "ears" we got lots of extra attention. There is a part where they play a song and everyone in the restaurant is supposed to hold up their cloth napkins and twirl them around in the air. The characters parade around the place with the young ones -- of course my new hubby and I joined them. We had sooooo much fun!

2) The Luau at the Polynesian. So much wonderful food. Chicken, ribs, the best pineapple ever! As much as we cared to eat. They do seat you with other people, long tables for about 15 I think. We loved getting to know our other tablemates and they were all so sweet to us. The show was fun and there was a point where they invited all honeymooners and anniversary people to come out on the dance floor to dance to the traditional Hawaiian love song. They had a photographer there and it's one of my favorite trip photos.

3) Flying Fish at the boardwalk. Mmmmmmm! I just enjoyed the atmosphere here. "Lively" (and close to where you will be).

4) Boatwright's at Port Orleans resort. This was my husband's favorite. Nothing too unusual about the food choices but the wait staff really went out of their way to show their "southern hospitality". Also, you can rent a carriage for two to show you around this resort for about $40 for 30 minutes I think. One of our favorite experiences to take it slow and enjoy the beautiful scenery of this resort.

One place we didn't get to try but I've heard you get "picked on" is the Roaring Forks in the Wilderness Lodge resort.

For the first day I "made" my husband wear his groom ears and after that it was easy to convince him it's a good idea! We would get "front of the line" priviledges, "hot seats" at Who wants to be a Millionaire, free desserts, lots of acknowledgement, it was great.

I don't know about getting room upgrades, doesn't hurt for them to at least know about your special day. We did get chocoates left in our room so that was a nice surprise.
