Honeymoon Location Question

DF and I are trying to decide where to go on our honeymoon after our DFTW. Any suggestions? How are the Disney cruises? We are trying to think of some place reasonably close to FL (i.e. not across the country). Thanks!

I love Key West- but I think its somewhere you have to want to go..

Charleston and Savannah are VERY romantic- as most of us know. I personally vote for that.

If you are going during a hotter month, Destin, Florida has nice white sandy beaches and are, in my opinion, one of the nicer class beaches.

I would make this entire experience a Disney experience. Check out the cruise!!

If you like the idea of going out of the country, the carribean is a small hop from Florida. It would be a little more exotic if you feel like that. Check out www.applevacations.com they have lots of all inclusive packages for all over the carribean. We went to the Dominican Republic using them last summer and it was an amazing trip-- total paradise. It wasn't too expensive either, it was about $3000 for both of us and that included flights, 7 nights hotel, all our food and alchohol, and watersports. Def. check them out. All inclusives make it really easy.

Congratulations!!! We went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It was a short 2 1/2 hour flight (with connection) and the place was beautiful. We stayed at the Paradisus Palma Real. It was all inclusive and affordable.

The best part was that it was so close we didn't feel like we missed anytime of our honeymoon traveling. The only bad part was our flight out of orlando was delayed and hour and a half and we almost missed our connection. We made it, but our luggage didn't...two days later it did. But when it comes down to it, it's your honeymoon and all you need is one another!

I vote for Savannah!!! That's where we will be!! After 9 days in Disney we are taking the Amtrak train over to Savannah for 4 days in the Honeymoon Suite at the Gastonian (a bed and breakfast circa 1868 - soooo beautiful ). We can't wait!!! I would love to move to Savannah!! Maybe someday...

We are doing the disney cruise to europe. If you wanted to do the parks and cruise they have the land and sea packages as well. we have never been on the cruise but i have heard nothing but good about disney cruise lines!

We're going on a Disney Cruise, but only for 3 nights. We have never cruised before and figured we might as well go Disney for our first time. I hear they are spectacular and once you go Disney Cruising you never want any other Cruise line I decided that as we were doing a DFTW we might as well go the whole way with the Disney thing, I won't tire of it but my fiance might

The Cruise is great! You will enjoy both(Eastern or Western). I really liked St. John and its a really romantic island! I do love Savannah as well! We are going to go to Club Med Turks and Caicos (adults only) the flight is short. We thought it would be a good choice for something relaxing and still tropical. We wanted to go to Bora Bora but its Typhoon Season when we are getting married and my luck would be our resort would be flooded! Have a GREAT time! Enjoy your first vacation as husband and wife! No matter what you pick it will be magical because you are together!

We're planning to do the Disney Cruise too! We're doing the 4 night cruise to the Bahamas! We've never been on a cruise and since we were doing the DFTW we thought we might as well keep it Disney, or at least I did and this way we Both get what we want! Good luck deciding what to do!
