Honeymoon for just one night-GF, POLY or CONT??

we are flying into wdw the next morning from our wedding and are trying to decide where to spend just the first night for our honeymoon. We arrive into wdw approx 2pm at the airport. the next day, we are using dvc points to stay at BWV, then the other places we have listed, so we just need a special place for just one night. What is the best place to spend our honeymoon night? GF, POLY or CONT Tower. Would like to keep the price down, but figure we should spend a little bit extra for our first night. $400 for 1 nights hurts, but maybe its worth it. what suggestions do you have or should we stay somewhere else?

We stayed at the GF for our wedding night - NEVER AGAIN! Long story, but I will never, ever stay there again in this lifetime!

We love the Poly, very romantic. Haven't stayed at CR yet though...

We honeymooned at the Grand Floridian and loved it!

We spent the 1st 2 nights of our honeymoon at the GF before moving over to Dixie Landings (as it was called back then) back in 97' and we were upgraded to a suite!! It was so awesome and I would highly recommend GF to anyone We've also stayed at the GF since in a regular GV room (which btw is what we had originally booked for our honeymoon) and it was beautiful.

I say splurge for the GF...it's your honeymoon after all! Enjoy!

My vote is AKL. It is quiet. The lodge is beautiful. They light the firepit at night. Have a great honeymoon!

Well, I spent a few nights at the GF and unless you get a GREAT deal I wouldn't waste the money.

What about relaxing off site at the Ritz or JW Marriott. Those are "True" resort hotels!~

I would say go to one of the deluxe resorts that have the theme that you like WL, YC, AKL, Poly, any would work if you like the theme.

I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them. The Poly seems to be the most popular, but if you want to save a little money you could go Contemporary. Plus you would have a nice view.

My husband and I just celebrated 20 years of marriage with a Fairy Tale Weddings vow renewal in October. Our choice of resort for the few nights surrounding our vow renewal? Why, the Grand Floridian, of course.

We initially were booked into the BWV for 2 weeks, but the Grand kept calling out to me in my dreams. I eventually broke down and moved us over there for two nights, then for three nights, smack dab in the middle of our vacation. I knew it just wouldn't be a fairy tale anything if we didn't get to spend at least a little time in our favorite resort.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Floridian and I'm so glad we did it (even though the bulk of our guests were staying at the BWV). We can't wait to stay there again in the future.

No matter where you choose to stay, have a wonderful marriage (and a wonderful honeymoon).
