6/19-Magic Kingdom day!
We woke up and grabbed bagels and a crossiant from the Everything Pop food court. We used our mugs for drinks and just paid out pocket.
Lunch was at the Columbia Harbor House. I had a Tuna Sandwich with Kettle Chips and the hubby had chicken strips and fries. We had an iced tea and coke. We skipped dessert b/c all that was available was apple pie. The sandwich was good but I don't like kettle chips sp I munched on hubby's fries. I don't know if the chicken strips were not very hot but hubby only ate a few. I took the DIS advice and sat upstairs but it was still very difficult to find a seat. Iwish another option had been availble for the sandiwch side but overall it was ok for a quick bite.
For dinner we had Pecos Bills b/c I had heard so much about it on here. The toppings bar was great. I was in cheese fries heaven. I had the chicken wrap with fries and hubby had the double bacon burger with fries. It also came with chocolate creme pie and drinks. It was too much to eat! The pie was awesome. The wrap was good, it just had a lot of dressing. I was too full to finish it all. Thanks for the good reccomendation. I would eat here again.
6/20...Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney..Polynesian Luau
We just got snack of water and soda at a cart in AK but it was very easy to use the MYW. For lunch we headed over to downtown disney and went to earl of sandwich! We decided to share an egg salad sandwich. I also tried the Earl Grey Lemondade..so good I found out how to make it at home!! They took the dining plan this time and we just used 1 credit since we split the sandwich which was very filling.
That night we headed to the Luau at the Poly at 5:15. I was bit hestiant b/c of the reviews at allears but we had blast. It was a bit hot as you waited to be seated but as soon as we sat down the salad, pineapple, and bread arrived. That bread was amazing and I asked the waitress for seconds which she happily brought. We got tea and coke but I also oredered a pina colada..very good but for almost 10$ I was hopping it woiuld have been a bit bigger. Right after the food came out and I had the chicken and rice and the hubby ate the ribs. I thought it was very good and I was full befoire seconds could be offered. I want to get the recipe for the rice actually. The dessert was a big flaming presentation but turned out to be chocolate mouse volcanos which were tasty. I love chocolate! Overall it was a good experience and relaxing..we got lucky b/c it started to rain just as our show ended so I don't know what happened to those with reservations at 8pm.
The next day we had to check out but we grabbed bagels at everything Pop and then headed to mgm for one more ride at Tower of Terror and downtown disney to spend the day.
We used our snack credit at MGM for a frozen bannana and an Ice pop with a funny name.
We then headed to downtown and Earl of Sandwich again b/c I wanted a lemonade
This time there was quite a line, we ordered another egg salad sandwich with chedder cheese and an earl's club. The wait wasn't long but when we went to pay our dinding plan card wouldn't work this time which was a bit of hassle so we ended up having to pay for the meal which was a bummer as we had one cs credit left. What was strange was when I opened my sandwich the cheese was shredded so I am guessing they dont have slices. It was still tasty and I wish we had an Earl's at home.
Overall, the MYW plan was good for us bv/c we made reservations. It does take some planning to make it work and I was upset that when we elft we still had unused credits. However, I think it was good for us to pay in advance otherwise we might have forgone some of our choices. I hope these reviews help you all out as much as you helped me.
