We didn't have a honeymoon until our first anniversary. We were married less than 4 months after Katrina. DH's family lost everything and lived with him for a while after the storm. We didn't feel it was the right time then for a honeymoon. We were married on Dec. 22, 2005 and celebrated our honeymoon Dec. 23-30, 2006 in Walt Disney World. I too wanted everything to be extra special because of waiting so long. To be honest, I'm glad we waited. We were able to save up and really splurge. I was married once before when I was 18 (I'm now 37). We had a very short honeymoon after we were married that lasted only three days. This was so much better! I can tell you I planned for 10 months and I think I over planned. There was so much I wanted to do to make things "magical" when looking back now I can say the little un-planned things that happened are the memories I'll keep in my heart. Here's a list of the things we planned and feel free pm me if you have any questions.

Carriage Ride at Ft. Wilderness or Port Orleans
Couples Massage
Victoria and Alberts
Have fun planning and you'll be amazed at how fast the time flies by!
