We booked our honeymoon for April 26th - May 4th this year. We have the park hopper tickets and we are staying at the POFQ resort for a total of $3200. I have been reading the posts and some of you have much cheaper trips. Any advice? and are there any "perks" to being honeymooners?

keep calling to see if your rates have gone down, also check AAA for discounts there are also passholder rates since you will have your passes you qualify, if your a florida resident they have a discount oo!!!!

Are you getting married at Disney? If so, you will have Annual Passes and don't have to purchase park hoppers.

It's almost certain that a FL Resident/Annual Pass discount will come out for that period of time. You just have to wait.

We are both FL residents and annual passholders and booked the 7 nights for the price of 4 promotion. It's hard to imagine that any discounts that come out will beat that. We purchased 1 day hoppers with the package to use at some point later on when our annuals have expired. We also booked in time to get the $200 gift card which we can put towards food.

Yikes! That seems really expensive. I'm staying at the Beach Club Resort from April 27th-May 4th for less than $3,000! And that's with park hoppers and the basic dining plan! Did they give you the 4 for 3 deal?? Do you have AAA?

definitely try to book the buy 4 get 3 free deal even if you have to change resorts or room type. we are staying for 10 days/9 nights with 10 day park hoppers and basic meal plan at AKL Club Level for only $4100. So $3200 for POFQ seems crazy unless you are including airfare in that.

If you are including airfare in the price you mentioned, I'd book the package without airfare and look on expedia or travelocity for the best price for the flight. I'm not sure where you're traveling from, but that still seems expensive, even if you're including airfare.

That does include airfare, which is $600 of the trip. it was all booked through a travel agent.

Can I still call and request they look into the 4 for 3 deal?

I usually book vacations myself but my mom insisted I use her travel agent friend so I am not sure how that works...

$600 is not bad for airfare... I paid $500 for mine from Pittsburgh.

Definately call and request the 4 for 3 deal!!

This website has all the codes for booking, it's a little more than halfway down the page:

I booked through my AAA agent before the promotion was released because they gave me the best deal, so I had to call and ask her to apply the 4 for 3 discount, and I had to give her the code because she didn't know anything about it. So maybe your agent doesn't know about it either.

I don't know if you saw my post, but even if you add $600 to the figure I gave you, it's still only $2031. $3021 seems insanely high.

I did see that, so even with airfare it seems crazy. My travel agent said he would call disney but did not get back to me today :( hopefully tomorrow... if he calls and asks they should know what he is talking about... I think

You're getting pretty well screwed. If the travel agent can't get you a better rate, cancel the booking and rebook directly through Disney.

We're staying 7 nights at the Contemporary, tower MK View room with park hoppers for something like 2300 (4-3 promotion). You can get a way better deal.

I am pretty sure there is a cancellation fee though :( He said he was going to get back to me yesterday and did not so I emailed him again tell him I found out online it is possible so to let me know asap. I have no patience though :)

If your TA can not get you the best deal, he should not charge you the cancellation fee. I think you can also just call Disney direct, you should be able to get to your reservation thru your phone number, and have them change to the 4 for 3 deal!!

Good luck!!

I wouldn't have patience either!!! You're probably STILL better off cancelling and rebooking, even if you have to pay the cancellation fee!!
