Well our 180 day window opened this morning so the fiance and I woke up and get to reservin'!

Tell me what you folks think!

We're staying at AKL just for reference.

Sunday September 4th:
Lunch: Sanaa

Monday September 5th:
Breakfast: Kona Cafe
Lunch: Spice Road Table
Dinner: Le Cellier Steakhouse

Tuesday September 6th:
Breakfast: Boma
Dinner: The Boathouse

Thursday September 8th:
Dinner: California Grill

We have the Deluxe Dining Plan and we're there 4th through the 9th so I know we have some credits we haven't used. We plan to use those for counter services.

Thoughts?

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I hope you have a magical honeymoon.

Overall, your plans look good. I would try for a BOG dinner on your first night. I like all of the restaurants on your list, you chose wisely.

Thank you for your input!

We actually had an engagement dinner at BOG last November and honestly...were quite unimpressed with the meal. While the ambiance is nice it was pretty chaotic and I felt it was more about scoring the ADR itself rather than the quality of the meal.

But again we both appreciate your opinions!

The only restaurant I would suggest changing is Boathouse. I haven't had dinner there, so take this advice with a grain of salt, but it was VERY loud in there when we went for cocktails. It also seemed really casual and the prices seemed to not reflect the casual atmosphere.

If you've got some leftover credits, why not throw in brunch at Narcoossee's or California Grill? I wouldn't waste credits on CS.

Congrats!

You're also at AKL and there's still Jiko as well, although to mix it up I would say Narcoossee's.

If you're willing to go to the effort of getting there, Artist Point is underrated.

Are you leaving on Friday the 9th? Dining Plan Credits are per night not per day. It looks like you have a 5 night 6 day stay. I count 10 TS credits, which means you don't have extra, if you are there 5 nights.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding

Deluxe plan is three credits per day. Since you're going to be paying deluxe prices, I wouldn't waste my credits on quick service. I also wouldn't book three meals in one day. Deluxe is appetizer, entree, and dessert. We love deluxe, but we generally do one late breakfast early lunch and one Signature restaurant. I also think that the Boathouse is way overrated. My top Signatures are Artist Point, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Narcoosees, and Jiko.

That's the quandary though when dealing with the Deluxe plan. With five nights we have a total of 30 credits between the two of us! So either you do have to do multiple table services in a day or waste more than you want on counter service. We're trying to strike a healthy balance.

Sorry I missed you were Deluxe. I too would do more Signatures.

Great picks! We ate at Boma and Kona for breakfast (both delicious) and Le Cellier and California Grill. Love our meals at all of them! We did not get to try Jiko, even though we had an ADR, because the restaurant had to shut down the night we were supposed to eat there. We ended up at the only thing available on a Saturday night (the LAST night of our honeymoon) which was Tony's in MK. Do NOT recommend!!!

I would actually trade out the two credit LeCellier for the one credit Rose and Crown and try to get a table outside for Illuminations viewing. Wonderful time to eat a good meal, have a good drink or two, and when the torches are lit, move a little closer or across the table to sit for a nice view of a wonderful story!

This is very true. It's why we do at least one Signature per day since that takes care of 2 of our three credits. On Hollywood Studios days we do an early lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby and then a late dinner at Flying Fish or Yachtsman to use up four credits. It's a hard balance.

I think your list looks good, but since you asked... If you're staying at AKL and you have the Deluxe DP, I wouldn't miss Jiko. I think the food offered is fairly unique (so is Sanaa). I think both restaurants do a good job representing their cuisines while still being appealing to most American palates. I also am in the minority, but prefer Citricos over Narcoosee's. The Yachtsman at BC is very good if you the menu looks good.
