Honey, I Shrunk the Checkbook, Really final, some Feb shots, 7-27, pg82.

I just got to spend a day and a half!!! with cutie pie Jackson!!! he LOVES the Nemo movie and loves MICKEY!!!

I changed my mind about the age kids need to be to go to WDW. A year from now, it doesn't matter if he doesn't "remember". I know , right now, he would SO enjoy the Nemo Musical, and the Nemo ride, .. and..dumbo and....etc.
and, if he has a "melt down" and can't handle the parks anymore... well, I would be thrilled to volunteer to bring him back to the resort for a swim or nap! I would LOVE to see his little face watching WISHES!!! (after his nap)
I'll stay back at the resort with him while Mom and dad go to Pleasure Island.

Please??? please??? :rotfl2:

I can't wait for the trip report!:rotfl:

How is your daughter in law doing?

Hi Nebo & Smidgy - I am in Ireland all week but came across an internet cafe in Galway City, so I popped in to catch up on your report :teeth: Very funny as usual, I love your meeting with the "cost members" in France and your attempts at causing mischeif over the KTTK headphones! :lmao:

Hi Nebo & Smidgy :wave2:

I'm all caught up now, and don't even know where to start with the quoting :rotfl2:

Allright, I've gotta go start doing :laundy: I really need to get ready for our trip. Wish you guys were going to be there! Maybe you just haven't announced a new "research" trip? :rolleyes1

Playing catch up here...
I mean S and D.
Swan and Dolphin.

And how come it's always the "Swan and Dolphin?" Never the "Dolphin and Swan.

Hmmm -this gave me an idea...I'm going to try and call it the Dolphin & Swan in front of DH and my DIL's from now till our trip just to see if I can get them doing that. Then when we are there and they say it backwards they'll get all kinds of looks, and I will, of course, be amused :lmao:

So here I am, they all know, and now I have to dry swallow these critters.

Nebo - you just need more practice :cutie: After a car accident I had ten years ago I was taking what seemed like a thousand pain killers a day. I eventually learned to get them down without anything to drink. To this day, I am grateful for that as I now don't have a problem with any pills anwhere (that sounds bad doesn't it :goodvibes )

The whole idea of eating here is that we should be done just about the time that Illuminations starts, and they have a separate viewing area behind the restaurant, down by the lagoon. I have never been there, but it was worth a try.

We've been lucky to do this a couple of times and it is really cool.

Diane was happy because now we are "knocking off" another restaurant in World showcase that we have never eaten at before. Now, the only countries that we haven't had a sit-down dinner in are China, Norway, and of course, America. As far as Norway goes, I don't see me EVER eating at Akershus.
I've seen the menu, and I don't even want to waste a "free dining' meal on it.
I'm sooooo with you, but was outvoted and will be eating there on our next trip - ugh...wonder if they'll let me order a kids meal.

Let me also say, there is a reason we haven't eaten HERE yet either.
I've looked at this menu too. Many times. I'm sorry, I don't even like the SOUND of an entree called a "meat pie".
Or a "shepherd's pie".
And I like chicken pot pies.
But if Swanson had a thing sitting in the freezer at your local grocery store that just said "meat pie", uh uh, I'll pass, thank you very much.

So I'm just looking for something "safe" on the menu tonight. I have a lot of vikes invested in me, and not going to lose them on a "cottage" pie.
I haven't liked the look of the new menu and I think Jaime's picture of the fish from her report turned me off forever...you are a brave man!

For the record, the Chicago Cubs have a Felix Pie, but he was just sent back down to the minors, as well he should be.
:rotfl2: :worship: :rotfl2:

Great update Nebo...now on to the next one.

Always a pleasure to catch up with a few of my favorite people.

You continue to make me smile.

Have a great and safe weekend.

Bee

Belinda, the way your life has gone the last year, I wouldn't think even the Blue Comedy Tour could make you smile, even if they all showed up naked.
(oh crap, visual imagery, crap, stop, stop it, Larry the cable guy, STOP IT!)

"Stucking"! That may have to be my new word of choice for stubbed toe, whacked shin moments!

I thought about you guys yesterday...we visited some elderly friends that have moved into a retirement village. !

Uh huh, yep, that'll work. I see you finished reading "How to lose friends and influence enemies" also.
It's always fun to edit somebody else's quotes, to my advantage as you can tell. Ok, I'll play nice, a Welches grape bottle? Is that what you said? Did you enlighten her about the benefits of SUnny D?

You almost dropped the F bomb on the KTTK tour??

Be nice! If you'd quit plotting you wouldn't get in so much trouble!

Rose & Cretaceous? :sad2: There's another one I'll never get outta my head. LaLa calls it the Rose & Crud. I like that one too.

Your little guy, Jackson, is precious-adorable! I bet you both love to spoil him. That's what grandparents are for, right? ;)

Lexy, about the only thing I can do reight now to spoil him is give him secret chocolate milk in his sippy cup, I can't even threaten to run away with him to Disney until things get better. ANd yes, I almost dropped the f bomb, I'm a riot at wakes, too. I do like the Rose and Crud line, I'm thinking of closing this report with a Disser's Lexicography of Disney World.

Uhoh...I've only read the title so far....should I be ascared?

Happy Memorial Day everybody!

DSC_0449.jpg

colleen, great pics you took that day, sorry we ran away so fast but I was already in my "Near the end of the trip" mode, when I start getting pannicky.

Sorry you were disappointed in the Utilidor, Nebo. But they really are not very exciting, I agree.
We call it "the tunnel".
Michael Eisner was actually very against this tour and other programs we sell that "give away secrets", mostly to convention groups. But somehow they survived. Make too much money, I suppose.

Little Jackson is just adorable

Too funny about your revenge plot gone wrong, LOL.

Marita, for the normal person, they would have just loved the tour. But I want to see the REALLY behind the scenes scenes, like where the Morlocks hide and view Splash Mountain so they can jump out and grab a n'er do well off the ride when necessary. Or what the inside of Space Mountain looks like when all the lights are on.

Jackson is adorable!

The Utilidors kinda reminded me of a stadium basement.

Lori Ann asked alot of questions where Smidgy, Nebo, Adrian and I would just smile at each other cause we all knew the answers but didn't want to take all the fun from the rest of the guests.

Adrian says Hi.

I am honored to now attest to the "blind man in the dark", the literal "walking of circles around his wife" - as far as the profanity in the microphone, I didn't hear a thing ;)

Yes dear, you didn't hear profanity because there wasn't any, but it was close, oh so close. I also am so friggin glad I now have validation on the Blind man in the dark. Geesh. Wasn't there and old country song named the Blind man in the Park? Just wondrin.
You know, I was going to start this out by saying, "Oh my God, we have shrinkage!" Meaning, your pictures have shrunk from the first time I spent twenty minutes waiting for the page to load. :badpc: :rolleyes1
But I thought if I said that, folks might get the wrong idea. :offtopic:

There was too much funny in that for me to quote everything!
I loved the Napolean refrence!:lmao:

Your grandson is soo cute! He must take after his granma!:thumbsup2

Yep, it takes a little Frenchy to get a kick out of the Napolean reference, even if she gives me a backhanded slap at the end.

COLLEEN!!! you KNOW not to post pics of me unless you "crop out" my belly!
(I've lost 10 pounds since then!).
I love the pic of me "hitchhiking" on the WDW railroad.!!!:rotfl2:

WHATEVER!!! I would post 100 BAD pics of me right now, if I could be there next week!!! with all my DIS friends! SIGH!!......

one day,.... we will live there! and all our dis friends can meet up with us, anytime!!!!!:cool1:
(only if colleen follows me around with her "magic" camera!!!)

Sigh, like she said.
You could take a hundred bad pictures of me, blood stains and all, and I would not care.

Hi Nebo & Smidgy :wave2:

I'm afraid not little tarheel. Have a great trip, just make sure you take the time to do something stupid so you can write about it.

Ireland. And Winkers goes to England. Hey, I want to know if you see a snake there, wasn't it St. Patrick that supposedly drove them all out of Ireland? Plus, you still have a REAL vacation still to look forward to. Class, can you say, ENVY?

Playing catch up here...

Along with that, try saying the "Crown and Rose" pub, the "Beach and Yacht club", "Stitch and Lilo", "Bullwinkle and Rocky". Whoops, scratch that last one.

One time, while we were cutting across from Test Track to Hista, we passed a john, and it was time for my much needed little helpers that I then pulled out of my pocket and popped into my mouth as soon as I saw the water cooler.
The OUT OF WORK water cooler, I soon discovered. I gagged for twenty minutes trying to get them down, I think I washed them down with a Slim Jim.

Great update Nebo...now on to the next one.

By the way, good luck with Akershus. I'm sure a lot of people love it, but then again, a lot of people like to eat "smoked but".

Well, I can only speak from hear say, but I hear that Space Mountains yields lots of false teeth and othe articifial body acutriments in the light.....

I thought my 70+ mom died when she sat behind me back in the 70's and I didnt hear a peep out of her. Turns out she was just afraid to lose her teeth!

So just imagine a sea of false teeth, false legs, and wallets, purses, backpacks, cameras, etc........

did you hear that JLUVSDISNEY? (Jill) you and Kim could stand outside the exit line and drum up new business !!:rotfl: (false appendages ARE their business)

nebo, I like "hall of Precendences"! and I like the idea of the Lexicon!

Hi y'all! this is me, on the little scooter Nebo will buy me when we live in Florida::moped:

this is nebo, after my first accident on the little scooter is is going to buy me::scared1: (I'm NOT the best driver in the world)

Hi Nebo...another great trip report. I hope all is well with you and Smidgy.

I've actually seen Space Mountain with the lights when I was younger. While they had it closed for repairs we rode the people mover. it took us on a nice little tour right through Space Mountain. Kind of takes the mystery out of it but it was still cool to see. :cool1:

Yep, it takes a little Frenchy to get a kick out of the Napolean reference, even if she gives me a backhanded slap at the end.

Nope, not a drop of French blood in me. Just a history geek.
I hope I didn't hurt your feelings!:goodvibes

:lmao: I held back on our tour for awhile, but our guide was giving out stickers for correct answers, so I eventually broke down and started spouting Disney Trivia!

I'm a sucker for stickers, ya know! ::yes::

Oh I totally woulda answered the questions for stickers!

I'm all in when freebies are involved! Especially Disney Freebies~

Nebo, Smidgy, Adrian and Me would quietly discuss the answers together and judge the answers the non Disney fiends would give.

And as far as Nebo's stalker goes,

she never did sign on and say hi!

She even knew who I was when we spoke at lunch :confused3

If you're out there reading, sign on and pop in!

We don't bite

hard

really ;)

Ok, that's not entirely what I meant, No, not talking about droppings, I meant what the inside of the building, with all the tracks running through it look like. Everyone, alltogether now, GEESH! kiss Marita,

Ok, time for Ol neb to step out on his proverbial limb, this is Kyle, right? I remember you, you stole Maggs away from us Sox fans. Then you started and stopped a couple of times your own trip report, Bringing your Japanese wife's family to DIsney? Am I close? Yeah, you got what I meant, but I would have preferred a walking tour through SM with the lights on.

Nope, not a drop of French blood in me. Just a history geek.

Cheri, my bad, I just thought for some reason you might be French. I had no idea that you were in fact, Kazakistanian.

Oh yuck! *shudder*

"Getcha false teeth here, getcha false teeth here, " I DID however, once lose a Slim Jim on that ride.

They owe me.

no stickers, no nuttin, for us. :( I did earn stickers once on a bus ride back from a park, back when the bus drivers were still allowed to talk, I was REALLY ANNOYING, but I only answered when nobody else knew it, and I handed out all the stickers to kids around me.

Yeah, Colleen, that was kind of strange, forgot that she even knew you.
On the same subject, I am surprised that our new friends that had a big part of this trip report, Jill and John, haven't showed up here much at all. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but if I know someone is going to be writing about me,,,,, I'm THERE! Well, you never know, time constraints, and what happens in peoples lives can change their procedures.

Ok, tomorrow I hope to get to work on OUR special DISSER Dictionary.
Stay tuned!

see there, colleen, you scared her off!:rotfl:
since she knew who YOU are, and Nebo and me, maybe all of our "celebrity status" scared her off.

hmm, kinda scary, ..wonder how MANY people at disney "KNOW who we all are!"
did ya notice anyone pointing fingers at us at rose and crud? (easier to spell than crustaceous)

to quote Dick Van ****.."come JOIN us, come JOIN us!" we're a fun group:dance3:
ok, ok, is it alright to say "Robert Petrie"?

Wow you have a mind like a steel trap :) Someday I'll finish that report but by then we will probably have been on three other trips :headache:

Steph, sometimes when I don't know what someone is saying I used to use the phrase, "Boy, I wish you came with subtitles". No, not gonna in this case.

I DO however love the avatar you made. Now, if I can just figure out how to get it up there,,,,,,,

Also since we took maggs from you guys I'm willing to give you Sheffield;)
