I personally love Tony's and always enjoy my Spagetti ( dinner), Pizza Bianica ( lunch) DH gets Spagetti no matter which meal and says it's so good. He also says he wishes his ragu tasted that good. I personally love the theming and attn to detail that goes into place but I'm also a big L+T fan. We've always had Very attentive and wonderful servers and even celebrated our honeymoon and many annv. with Lady and Tramp.
I have also eaten at Mama Melrose ( in DHS) and liked that place as well but think Theming at Tony's is better.

Tony's = bad food.

Have you ever been to Carrabba's? Olive Garden?

Well I hated Olive Garden but I love Carrabba's.

Olive Garden reminded me of Tony's. (I'd never been to Olive Garden before Tony's.)

But it's really just someone's own tastes. :confused3

The atmosphere is wonderful, especially if you at a L&T fan, but lovely even if you are not. The service was all right but both times we ate there I felt that they were understaffed - the wait staff was pleasant but distracted.

We last ate at Tony's for dinner in April 08, so I am only commenting on the food we had then as I believe it is still the same menu. The food was hit or miss; I think it depends on what you order.

The chicken parmigiana was just ok...actually, it was disappointing for an Italian restaurant. It tasted like what I would get at my local Greek diner, if you know what I mean. The strip steak was fabulous but very pricey. The caesar salad was good and, while my husband liked the cannelloni, I did not - just a matter of taste, I guess. My younger kids were not impressed but they are picky so I would not go by their opinion.

The desserts we tried were all great - pistachio creme brulee, tiramisu and an amaretto cheesecake. Oh yum!

Basically, we liked it well enough the first time to go again but it may not make the cut next time. So many restaurants, so little time!

We love Tony's, it's a must-do for us :grouphug:

We only do lunch, we only sit on the porch :cloud9:

We only get the flatbread (Tony's flatbread) :thumbsup2

we always have had great service :goodvibes

I've been spoiled by living so close the Bostons North End (100+ restaurants, all Italian). Tonys was not good to me. Definately not fresh pasta and something to give it any extra zing. Service was great, just as it is at every restaurant. Atmosphere..from what I can remember it was themed after Disneys movie Lady and the Tramp....not Italy!!!

Unfortunately, there isnt a huge choice of table restaurants in the MK. None are particularly fantastic. I personally choose the plaza for lunch. Its nice and cool in there, not a lot of screaming kids like in Crystal Palace, and the meals are light so you can continue on with your day at the park. Liberty Tree and Tony's meals are hot and heavy, better for dinner if you are going to eat at either of them.

Dinner Menu:
Entrees
Seafood Diavoli - linguini pasta with clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp, and salmon in a spicy tomato sauce $22.99

NY Strip Steak - port wine sauce, baked romano cheese potatoes and broccolini $27.99

Shrimp Pasta - pasta with roasted peppers and carrots tossed in a pesto cream sauce $16.99

Catch of the Day - served with Orzo pasta tossed with pancetta, roasted garlic and seasonal vegetables topped with balsamic maple glaze $21.99

Caesar Salad with Chicken - Romaine lettuce with grilled chicken tossed with Caesar Dressing $12.99

Beef and Spinach Cannelloni - served with basil cream sauce $19.99

Spaghetti with choice of meatballs or sweet Italian sausage in Tony's own tomato sauce $16.99

Chicken Parmigiana - lightly breaded chicken breast with marinara sauce toppe with melted mozzarella over spaghetti $16.99

Eggplant Rotini - roulade of eggplant and ricotta, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese $13.99

The lunch menu has a few of the above plus some hot sandwiches (meatball grinder (hoagie, hero, submarine..whatever you call it where you are from!!) panini's etc..

Good Luck!

We ate at Tony's two years ago for lunch, and enjoyed it. We sat in the sun room and had a good seat for the parade. (We made reservations for 2:15 so that we could watch the parade while cooling off from the Florida sun.) it turned out to be a nice break for all 9 of us. The food was good; not the best Italian food nor was it the worst. Most of our party had sandwiches which was a good choice for us and we all shared a bite of this and a bite of that. :)

How easy is it to see the parade from within Tony's (in the sunroom or porch)?

I'm all Italian and Love it! You will be happy there.:)

We've always liked it at Tony's. We tend to go for lunch now since it is a bit cheaper and we tend to just get spaghetti. At dinner we have had the eggplant dish which we enjoyed. They used to serve bread with a sun-dried tomato pesto - I loved that. I'm not sure if they still serve it anymore...maybe just at dinner? My two young sons have enjoyed getting pizza there. I wouldn't say it is the best Italian food I have had, but it is far from the worst. :)

Early this year we finally ate at Tony's after staying away due to reading so many bad reviews.
The service was good. No complaints in what I ate. But I was the only one out of 4 adults who liked their meal. (I had something different than everyone else.) And Tony's is the one restaurant DH says no way to try it again.
I have a tendency to judge a restaurant on their bread and even what they serve with it. Tony's was straight from the frig bread and butter. :confused3

Although I believe everyone should try it for themselves (as with any restaurant or resort) and judge for themselves.

:)
Found my review. How could I forget cold dipping sauce for the bread? What was up with that? I know at the time my impression was just a lazy kitchen.
We ate there 02/02/08:

I've learned from being on these boards and eating at tons of places in Disney that all that is posted here are people's opinions. What one person adores, another will hate. So here's my opinion... last year my mother and I ate at Tony's three times. We were there for three weeks. The first visit was our first time ever in the restaurant because we had avoided it like the plague do to the reviews from most people on here. My mom had Chicken Marsala and I ordered the Beef and Spinach Cannelloni. The service was terrific. My mom thought her chicken was okay but we both agreed that the beef and spinach cannelloni i ordered was phenominal!!!! So we made another reservation! We both ordered the cannelloni!! Go with an open mind and i hope you enjoy your meal if you do choose to eat there. Like i said before everybody has different tastes... That's why they make chocolate and vanilla!!!

We are going to try it next month, I am not going expecting gourmet food but a good meal.

I have read a ton of negative reviews on Ohana and when we tried it the food and service were both fantastic

We've eaten dinner @Tony's 3xs and enjoyed it each time. The portions are big so DH and I usually each order a salad and then share an entree. They also serve bread with your meal. Always been too full to try dessert. We like to time our ADR so when we are finished we can step out on to the veranda and watch Spectro Magic go by! :wizard:

I ate there Halloween 2005. I thought the service was great and the fiid was good. I got the Salmon I can't remember what I had with it then for dessert I think I had cream brulee. I was so undesided abou tgoing because of all the negative things I was reading but I am glad I tried it myself, I will go there again:)

We enjoyed our lunch at Tony's. In fact, it was one of our favorite TS meals for lunch.

I don't know why, but the NY Strip Steak was available, and it was quite good, I must say.

The dessert was enjoyable also.

I've been for lunch and dinner and prefer lunch. I didn't like dinner because when I went the menu was different from the lunch one and didn't have my favorite meal on it. For dinner I ended up getting spaghetti and meatballs and the spaghetti sauce tasted watered down and what's more is it tasted like that nasty FL water. However, I love the food at lunch, love the atmosphere, and have always had good service. I reccomend it. :thumbsup2

We go there often for breakfast. It has always been good, but then, breakfast food is not too complex. It's a great way to start the day at the MK.

I thought the breakfast was long gone? I use to really like breakfast there especially their waffles but I thought they stopped serving breakfast years ago. Am I wrong?:confused3

We tried lunch and dinner sfter they stopped serving breakfast but it was blah so we havent eaten there in years:(
