Hi Everyone,

My daughter was given a homework assignment this afternoon for her Creative Writing class. Her assignment is as follows........Please write a paragraph of five or more sentences entitled "If I owned DisneyWorld I would....."

Your input and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

She could write how she would preserve Walt Disney's memory in running the parks.

Also as a owner go to the parks, eat in the restaurants, stay at the hotels. That is one way to see if things are running smoothly. You are putting your self in the guest shoes.

My paragraph.

"If I owned Disney World I would stop playing games with the discount codes. I would tell everyone when they would come out so all could relax. I would offer refridgerators in all of my hotel rooms, heck, I'll toss in microwaves too! I will continue to offer the best family vacation on the face of the earth. I would make sure that the DUDSPIZZA family could afford the chance to stay at the Polynesian, just once!

I couldn't help but being sarcastic here... just having a little fun. I am sure your daughter can come up with all kinds of things to say about WDW! Have fun.

How old is your daughter? How about making sure that costs remain in line so that it's available to everyone. Create a program where several packages are developed so that costs are affordable. On the fun side, live in an apartment on Main Street USA.

If your daughter has never been to Disney World and needs some background info in order to complete the assignment she could go to the official Disney website at www.disneyworld.com or www.allearsnet.com. Both have lots of pictures. She could also get the Birnbaum's guide book.

Since it's a creative writing class, it sounds like there's no right or wrong answer.

Thanks so very much for the great suggestions already! Ashleigh (my daughter will be thrilled with your input.

To answer your questions, Ashleigh is in her first year of high school and yes, she has been to Disney many times. As you can see from our bio, we travel there usually two or three times a year. Sooooo, we do have experience with WDW, but I just thought I'd throw it out there to you guys for any suggestions. I love the ideas of keeping Walt's memory alive....As we had a few 'Not So Walt' experiences this past Christmas while staying at the Contemporary. Also, your ideas on keeping the financial end of things in check is needless to say.....terrific!
