Hello,
I have narrowed it down now to either Homewood Suites I-Drive(not the one near Universal) or Embassy Suites I-Drive South(not the one on Jamaica Court). Please,Please can you give me the For's and Against's with BOTH of these Suites from your own personal opinions-I would be very grateful.I have looked up both on the net but i do prefer views from people who have personally stayed there, especially recently.
ie--free shuttles-how frequent are they??,free breakfasts at each suite-are they any good??,pool size??,cleanliness+maid service?? etc....
Thanks to all in advance.x.x.

I have only stayed at the embassy suite over across I 4 form Dixie stampede

But i enjoyed my stay there even if it was for a day.

I've moved this over to the Orlando Area Resorts board. You'll get your best answers here vs. at the Theme Parks board!

Thanks!

Thank you to those who replied and thanks Canadian Guy-hopefully will get a better response there.x.

Thank you, much appreciated.I was wondering about the noise as it seems that you're right on top of the pool area(which looks like a small+overcast/shaded pool??).We love Bahama Breeze so we would be ok there!!!!!.I also like the idea that you're not right on I-drive but behind the restaurants-is that correct??.Thanks again.x.

Yes you are off set from i-drive...don't try to find the sign at nite:scared1: It's hard...but once you find it no problem the rest of your trip!!!!!

Hi,Thanks for your info,we won't be driving so that will be ok(unless we get a taxi!!).
Anyone else have any views they are much appreciated.x.

We just booked HomeWood Suites by Hilton on International Drive. I hope we made the right decision.

I have stayed at both chains. ES serves a hot breakfast which is very good as well as a cocktail hr. The suites do not have a kitchen. Homewood suites serves as breakfast but it is not cooked to order but the suites have kitchens. Hope that helps.

Embassy suites has a wet bar in the living room and a microwave oven. HS serves beer & wine as well as ES.

We stayed at Homewood Suites I drive last June. The rooms were clean, and the staff was efficient. Our a/c went out in the middle of our trip, and they moved us to a 2 bedroom suite (we were in a 1 bedroom). Breakfast was fine, and they had snacks and drinks most evenings. The pool is shaded, and was actually too cold for our kids, even on 90plus days. If you are on a lower floor facing the pool, it can be noisy. We had a rental car, so I can't comment on the shuttle bus. HTH

I agree with this post. I've actually stayed at the Embassy Suites that you're talking about, and their breakfasts were exceptional (includes a hot breakfast bar plus a grill to make omelets or whatever you want). I've never been overwhelmed with the breakfast options at any HS that I've ever stayed at (I haven't stayed in that particular one though).

The room at ES was fine, but the living room wasn't as roomy as most HS are.

That ES has two pools (one indoor and one outdoor) - nothing fabulous, just plain pools.

Another option you might check on is Staybridge Suites on I Drive. I stayed there in February for a conference. They had very reasonably priced 2BR/2BA suites that were very spacious and had a full kitchen (also had 1BR suites). They also had a hot breakfast (nothing extraordinary but adequate). The I-Ride Trolley stops right in front of the hotel.

Stayed at that Embassy for a week. The breakfasts were good, especially the cooked to order omelets. The rooms were very spacious. Indoor pool was great if you had bad weather, but we enjoyed the outdoor pool. The evening reception was chips, pretzels, salsa.........beer, wine and mixed drinks which was nice. We enjoyed almost every evening. Was nice to sit in the big atrium and relaxing for an hour or so. This hotel is on I-4....

We have considered Homewood and will probably stay there in future with full family but I was concerned that the pool would be too shaded as we usually are there in winter. Like the full kitchen option. This hotel is tucked away from main roads....

Very close to each other so proximity doesn't matter to us.

Actually trying Staybridge Suites LBV next week.

Thanks Guys for reviving my thread i started before Christmas. Thanks for your views+i have gone with Embassy Suites I-Drive-hope i'm not disappointed.x.
