I actually have a break in the action today. I have NOTHING to do till the next cookout which is at 3ish. I actually feel like I am having a day off today.

The was40's are having a wonderful family gathering, day 2....

Yesterday Gram and Pap did come, and it was beautiful weather all day, no rain. Today is even warmer and everyone but me is out at the pool, where I am going soon...

I was having DIS withdrawal, so I thought I should catch up quickly before going out

Last night hotel was40 had 13 guests
who just ate three extra large pizzas, two orders of cinnamon sticks, salads, the leftover cheesy potatoes, and most of the leftover ziti

I was contemplating it but talked myself out of it

We ate their before. For an appetizer you can choose from a few things, including egg rolls.
I thought that you would get one or two but not three.
The food was pretty good too.

I have snuck back inside for a bit..
I was sunning myself and don't want to get burned!

There are nine in the pool right now, it is a gorgeous day!

I am nursing a bit of a headache
seems I can't hang with Mike and not feel it the next day
maybe I never could
but now I don't care for the after effects!

Pap ate EVERYTHING yesterday
Gram always complains that he won't eat anything
but that is never the case here...

I sent them home with lunch for today.

Two of my brothers have small dogs that they bring with them
a yorkie
and a king charles cavalier spaniel

Yesterday when gram and pap were leaving
the boys were also loading up to go to the driving range to hit golfballs

we were all standing out on the driveway
to help gram and pap get into my mom's car (she was their driver yesterday)

the dogs were out with us


and TWO of the neighbors dogs came charging over,
I think when they saw the yorkie


I started yelling "NO" "Go Home"
etc
and clapping my hands
and I even charged forward at the dogs
who did back off
they were barking

the neighbors came out and called them
DH was already in a car
my gram was saying" Whose dogs are these?"

the neighbors got the dogs back into their yard
invisible fence working so well, 'eh

and I picked up the yorkie
(which DH later told me was dumb, made myself a target)

This only adds to DH's frustration with the dogs...they are not controlled...



Wouldn't you think the neighbors would have said "Sorry"
they said nothing. nada. not a word.

That was the only real excitement at the party.

Oh, that and one of my nephews hit a baseball into my floodlight
and shattered it

but it was accidental
not hitting the ball
just hittingthe light WITH the ball


that wasn't really a big problem
DS destroys stuff all the time
it is the nature of boys

DD13 came to ask me how much it would cost to fix it
since nephews mom said he would have to pay for it

I told him "no charge"

We didn't get a drop of rain
it cooled off for a half hour or so yesterday
then the sun came back out

we sat outside last night until midnight
