DH and DS went to use the free KFC coupon
last night
and our KFC was also out of the chicken

A few years ago, NY did away with feeding the meters on Sundays but all other rules must be followed. The traffic agents are out every day of the week giving out many tickets!

WOW that puts it in perspective!
parking at an expired meter.... 35 in most of NY
was $5 for my fine today
which I thought was ridiculously expensive
since the meter takes NICKELS for a half hour of time!
a dime would have made me a law abiding citizen....

there are ample empty spots on both sides of the street

My mother in law sent me the link for the coupon
and said, "you can print four coupons, enough for a free dinner for all of you if you share!"
this made me LOL

That is something that I am envious of!! There is so little parking available. We even have a municipal lot but it is right near one of the local public schools so on school days, the lot is full with teachers' cars.

There is virtually no traffic here
plazas with huge lots that are NEVER filled
I can always find a spot on the main street of town
enough so that I can be choosy, too close to other car, move up a spot or two

I just looked at it
it is a splinter!
No wonder it is hurting her!

She is already a whiney whiner
that I am going to take it out now!

Sarah, I can't even imagine drivng in all the traffic you experience!

There is virtually no traffic here
plazas with huge lots that are NEVER filled
I can always find a spot on the main street of town
enough so that I can be choosy, too close to other car, move up a spot or two

I don't mind driving around my area, at certain times of the day. But, I have never driven to Manhattan and never will. Public transportation is just right for me. Sometimes, DH will drive me to dr. appt.

I practically had to hog tie her to get it out
she wouldn't let me touch her

and it came right out, too!

she just thought it was

DD gets green splinters in her hands quite often at work. The baskets that the store uses to store some of the baked goods, give off these splinters. Sometimes DD is in such a rush to get things done, that she forgets to put on gloves and then she is punished for it by coming home with 5- 10 splinters at a time. I'm getting good at removing them!

I hope that DD10 is ok.

I'm heading upstairs to transfer laundry loads. Be back soon.

There is no public transportation anywhere around here
except the public school yellow busses

no public bus
no taxi services at all

it does make it difficult for older people who no longer drive
