Homemade autograph books.....

We are leaving in about 5 weeks
I was thinking about making autograph books for the kids.
Any ideas or photos of books you have made?

My family just returned from Disney a few weeks ago. I made 3 of the grandkids homemade books. They loved picking out which design they wanted. I got all the design ideas from the Creative Disigns forum. They had wonderful designs, even ideas as how to put everything together. The creative disign group is very talented. At Disney the characters made a fuss over their pictures on the page instead of a plain paper book. Beside the autograph books we made window clings and tee shirts.

I got the small photo album that held paper 6 x 6 with 2-3 extra packages of inserts. Then I bought 12 x 12 sheets of Disney scrapbook paper. They come indiv. or in packs. Each 12 x 12 sheet made 4 pages.

I put it so that when you open the page, there are two identical sheets. One the character signed. The other we used as a background for the picture with the character.

We decorated the front of the book with elaborate glittery princess/disney stickers.

I had a while to do it. I used a lot of Michaels/Joannes/AC moore coupons. I get the kids their own coupons and let them pick their colors sheet.

It cost between $15 per book and they are beautful. Far better than disneys $13 books that hold pictures. In addition, we probably had 50 pages instead of just 15 in the disney book

I'm in the process of making another one... we did this a few years ago and it was such a hit that DD wanted another one.

I'll post pictures soon but basically using a ton of stickers and jolees .. I would hate to figure in the cost because I am going all out on supplies since I already had them but its soooo cute that it will be totally worth it!
