Hi all,
Finally got home last night after a big delay on the Eurostar! This was going to be our last trip for a while but (!!!!!) because of the delay of 3 hours we have been offered compensation of a free return trip!!
We were hoping to use this on a day trip some time this year and I wondered if anyone could suggest a quiet time? This was our first trip during school holidays and I thought I had prepared myself for how busy it would be but I totally hadn't!!! We didn't get hardly any rides done or character meets my little boy also caught a sickness bug, if it hadn't have been for us staying for the first time in the dlh I think I'd have been pretty peeved!! Didn't even get to ride my favourite (crushes coaster) so we are hoping to return for the day when it's quiet and hopefully get a bit more done!

welcome back. So sorry to hear about all this. We always go in March, try to avoid St.Patricks day. Weekdays are great, just weekends get busy.

Ah, so sorry to hear your trip wasn't what you had hoped for. It was very, very busy last week. We always go Feb half term and it was def the busiest we have ever seen it.

Welcome back, sorry your trip didn't go as well as it should have. I wasn't prepared for just how busy Halloween half term would be last year and we've done many weekends and a summer trip. Hopefully your return trip will be more successful. Hope your little boys recovered now x

Welcome back and sorry the trip was less than magical for you. Thank goodness you had the DLH to comfort you! I suppose the Eurostar delay could turn out to be a blessing in disguise if it enables you to make up for this trip with a return day at a quieter period. Are you able to choose a term-time day next time? Hope your DS is better and you can look forward to returning soon. :goodvibes

Welcome back, sorry it wasn't everything you hoped for.

I suggest going outside weekends, during the beginning of a festival (Swing into Spring, Halloween, Christmas). I hope you'll find a suitable date!

Thanks for your lovely replies :0) ds is all better now, I did hear on a fb page a few people with sickness bugs so there must have been something going round

As its only going to be for one day I will take the children out of school and really want to just go for it and run from ride to ride!! Hoping to go when it's a little warmer as we always go November when it's so cold I can't imagine what it's like to go without a big coat and boots!! are there any quiter times in may (obviously not bank holidays or half term)
