Hi all :goodvibes

Thought I'd do a quick post prior to my trip report with the brief highs and lows of the last few days...

Highs
Monday - not busy at all.. most of the rides were walk on or a 5-10min wait at most. Really good!
Weather - overcast and patchy showers for the most part, meant that we weren't too hot (I'd been worried about that as being from the NE of Scotland I had concerns that we'd all get too hot and burn!!).
Staff - lovely and polite, not a bad experience in the 5 days we were there.
Big Thunder Mountain... we all LOVED this ride.. went on three times!
Character lunches - Cowboy Cookout, Cafe Mickey and Auberge... all great fun and the perfect way to see characters without having to queue for hours!

Lows
Seeing a mouse in the Chuck Wagon Cafe... yes, we did leave that on our feedback form and I will be emailing Disney to complain. Not surprised to see a Mouse at Disneyland :rotfl:, but I was pretty shocked to see vermin :scared1:
Torrential rain on Tuesday meant a late start and missing out on valuable park time.
Bad food.. unless you're willing to pay big prices I think the food is of shockingly bad quality. Considering we were in the world capital of gastronomy.... terrible.
Coming home.... :sad2::sad1:

... I WANT TO GO BACK!!!!! Now thinking about how I can persuade DH to plan another trip (and to stay in the DLH this time ;)) :rotfl2:

Glad you had a great time, the highs certainly seemed to outweigh the lows:goodvibes

Glad you had a good time, feels so sad when you come home though :sad2:

The only cure is to book another trip ;)

Look forward to the tr :goodvibes

We saw a mouse in Cafe Mickey last May and he most certainly was not sigbing autographs. I stood on a chair until the bugger was evicted.
Sounds like a fantastic trip. You're among friends with the cunning plans and subtle hints! Is it too early to say Happy Planning!?!

Welcome back, i'm pleased the highs outweigh the lows:thumbsup2

I have to admit as regular Florida visitors but 1st time DLRP this August, the quality of the food given a lot of what I have read is a concern, especially with some of the high prices.

Welcome back :wave2: we were there Sunday through Tuesday and couldn't get over how quiet it was. Good luck with planning your next trip! :wizard:

Unfortunately the higher prices are really down to the poor exchange rate these days - when we first started visitng DLP we were getting a rate of 1.50 instead of the meagre 1.14 we got last week. I'm not a huge fan of counter service, it's typical theme park food which is going to be overpriced whatever country it's served in, but I really do love my table service meals at DLP. IMO they far surpass the meals we've had at WDW/Florida (and we've always been very happy with our food there). One of my favourite things about DLP is the individual crockery for each restaurant - Blue Lagoon has a desert island setting, Walt's has Mickey as a waiter, Inventions has Tinker Bell etc.
