Home... sad it's all over...

Im Not saying we will for sure - Just maybe And it would be several years away So definitely wont be planning anything for a long time!

Start planning NOW so that way when your DH decides in a few months (or in year) that he wants to go again, you're all ready!! That's what happened with my DH, he was the "one and done type" before our first trip BUT because of all my careful planning our trip turned out to be so fantastic and not at all like he had expected based on what he had heard from people who had gone and now we have gone 3 times and still want to go back!

As a side note, I like to combat my post-disney depression with coming on the boards and organizing all my pictures for a photobook.

Well, we're home! I'm sitting here staring at all the unpacking to do, and I'm so sad that it's all over. I can hardly believe we've been there and it's done. It was like a dream. We had a fantastic trip, I'll do some more specific reviews later but...

*sigh*

What do you do to fill that void? lol

On the plus side - when we went, we went knowing it was a one and done trip. DH had no interest in Disney, was only going for us (the kids and I). And... he is now open to a return trip someday! In a way, to him, it's just another theme park (he's really not a theme park guy), but he had a lot of fun, and said there's still so much we never got to see or do. And with all the renovations going on/supposed to happen in the parks, he did say it would be neat to go back when they're done and see the changes.

So, my hope is that someday, we'll get to go again. So many things I'd do differently, many things I'd do the same, but who knows what touring will be like by then, since if we do go again, I suspect, it'll be at least another 3-4 years, when the children are 12 & 9. But at least there's some hope of another trip someday, if all works out and we can save carefully.

I can relate, I always have this empty feeling inside me once I return. Like I'm back to facing reality, laundry, etc. Oh boo! I'm glad you and esp. DH enjoyed yourselves! Get him hooked, girl! :smooth:

Have you seen NPH before? We've done the CP twice with him as the narrator once - he's awesome! Enjoy :)
We'll be there over Thanksgiving, too :goodvibes

Yep !!! He's the best, and a really great guy too ! Living in NYC, had the pleasure of seeing him in a number of bway shows (most recently "Hedwig..." )

Was able to speak with him a few times --- always very accommodating !

Wow, that's fantastic :goodvibes I'm upstate NY and unfortunately don't get to Broadway as often as I'd like. I heard he was fabulous in Hedwig. My friend and I rode the carousel at the same time as him and his daughter in 2012, earlier in the day before we saw him in the CP. We were behind him on line and we smiled and said hello to each other but that was it. I always make a fool of myself when I meet someone famous. I idolize Stephen King and sounded like a buffoon when I was finally able to meet him :sad2:

It's always good to have another trip to look forward to...no matter how far away that happens to be.

In our case, we alternate between Orlando and California/DLR. That means that we always have new stuff to look forward to, since there is a two year gap between visits to a given resort. That gives them enough time to open something new in the interim.

Same thing happened to us! DH was there for me only, and he kept saying: "once and done", and on the flight home, we started planning our trip back (2018)... and now we're booked for 2016!! ;) Good times!

GREAT that DH has "come around" to going back and enjoying it again!:cheer2: HOLD ON to the GREAT MEMORIES!:dance3:

We did the same thing when we saw him at the American Adventure !! I became a wreck !! I remember asking him when he was coming back to broadway --- ( I think he had just finished doing "Cabaret" )
He smiled and said "whenever they ask me" --- that year he was asked to host the Tony Awards--- after that, it was announced that he would play "Hedwig" --- he was amazing !!

We solved our After Disney Depression by booking a bounceback offer right before heading home from our trip last year. We're headed down in October then we have a year off and then we have a big trip in 2017 for our oldest grandson's first trip to WDW. DH and I will be going with our grandson, his sister and brother-in-law and their two grandsons. We'll have three little boys, 8, 7 and 5. I haven't planned a trip with kids for many years. I can't wait!

I know that feeling. It's been over 8 years since my last trip to WDW. I've had 8 years to plan my next trip. At least your husband is open to coming back! I totally expected my trip to be a one-and-done, but I went... and I fell in love.
