Do all your points need to be at your home resort in order to get an 11-month reservation?

Yes.

Say you have 2 contracts. 100 points at Bay Lake Towers and 200 points at Grand Floridian.

You can use your 100 BLT points to book 11 month out at BLT, and you can use your 200 VGF points to book 11 months out at VGF.

At the 7 month window, you can use all 300 points to book a room.

But, you cannot hold a room at VGF at 11 months with your 200 points, and then swap in 100 BLT points at 7 months without canceling and rebooking, which is often not possible due to the purpose of 11 month bookings.

If you want to book a particular resort in the 11-month booking window, you need enough points from that resort to pay for the reservation. They could be points you own or they could be points that were transferred into your account from someone else who owns a contract at that resort. In other words, the booking priority is tied to the points.

I'm sure you know this, but for future readers...
The points must be from your home resort to book at 11 months, but you can use banked points from previous Use Year or borrowed points from the next use year if necessary. That is how some people buy 50 points at VGF and still are able to make a 150 point reservation. They just go once every three years.
