Was wondering how it works with small contracts at multiple hotels. If you have 50 at VGF and 50 at BLT and 100 at SS, at 11 months can you book a week for 200points at VGF? Or can you only book a few days (totaling 50points at VGF at 11 months out).

The latter. Points always retain their home resort. So, only GF points can be used at GF at 11 months out.

Some with small contracts consider them as "every other year" contracts assisted by banking and borrowing. Thus, in your example, you might use 100 VGC every even year, 100 BLT every odd year and 100 SSR each year.

Its the points that have the home resort booking advantage. As stated, many will buy smaller contracts to use every other year, or even for special situations, like owning points at BWV or BCV for yearly small trips for Food and Wine each year.
