Home Reservation at 11 Month Window

Hello Experts,
I know that none of you are clairvoyant, but I have a question for you.
How likely/unlikely will it be to get an 8 night 2 bedroom reservation at BCV, as my home resort, at the 11 month window during October, the Food & Wine Festival timeframe?
We are seriously looking for a BCV resale and our desire is to visit in October for the F & W festival. We have rented through CRO X 5 for this timeframe, but owning would be much better, in my opinion.
But if I convince my husband to buy points, and then we can not use them for our desired vacation, he will not be happy.
What are your thoughts?

IMHO, if you call at the 11 month window, you will almost never have a problem getting what you want when you call. If you are willing to take any type of 2 bedroom at the BCV, I can't imagine that you would ever have a problem getting a 2 bedroom at the 11 month window for October. For the very remote chance that you do have a problem, if you use the waitlist, you will be successful.

There are 3 booking categories for 2 bedroom units at the BCV:
1. Dedicated, with 2 Queen beds in the second bedroom
2. Dedicated, with 1 Queen bed and 1 queen sleep sofa in the second bedroom
3. Lock off unit. 2nd bedroom has 1 Queen bed and a double sleep sofa.

The first category listed above seems to be the most popular. If you must have that, there is a very small chance that you will have to waitlist for an October reservation (assuming you call at the 11 month window).

Above is my opinion. Others may have a different one. If you read about a different experience/opinion, be sure to note if they are talking about October, the BCV, a 2 bedroom unit (note the kind) and calling as soon as the 11 month window opens. Those criteria are all very relevant to your question.

Thank You for your opinion Carol, I value it.
I believe that 99% of the time any type of 2 bedroom would meet our needs. There is the remote possibility that sometime in the future I might want a dedicated 2 Queen bed Villa, but that would not be the usual case.

Any other comments on my question, and as Carol said, I am specifically asking about any type of 2 bedroom BCV booked at the 11 month window for October.

At 11 months who would be booking before you. We own at Boardwalk and never turned away for 2 bedroom at 11 months for last 8 years.

Of course, the answer to the first question,as to who would be bookign before you, is other BCV member who were arriving a day or more before you. Even with the new booking policy based on check in date, I think the OP would be fine in October as long as they have some flexibility as to dates, as Columbus Day weekend seems to get booked up pretty early. -- Suzanne

We don't own at BCV, but at BWV. However, we have booked at BWV at the 11 month window every October for years and never had a problem. We have always gotten the desired Boardwalk view, which is in limited supply. As a matter of fact, a few times I have miscalculated or just lost track and booked at 10 months. Still, never a problem. We have booked both 1 and 2 bedrooms.

I think you will be on very safe ground.

If you become a BCV owner, you will have a significantly better chance than a non BCV owner. I think you would be just fine.

I was able to book BVC during xmas week in the 7 month window going day by day. If your worried you can book day by day then if your in the 11 month window you won't have a problem. So far I've always gotten what I wanted that way.

It's the new booking rules, there will be some checking in 7 days before you. I think the question is, was there ever a problem getting those special 2 bedrooms 1 week after the first booking date. I hope not.

We just booked a BCV dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 Q's for the week before Memorial day next year. The new booking had just been announced, and we got it. We need more experience with the new booking to see how things will happen, before people can give an answer.

If you dont mind which 2 bedroom you get, for sure you will get something in October at 11 months out.
