I have a question for anyone who does home parties. I am now going to have two in college and am looking for a way to supplement my income. Does anyone have a home business? I am a new 31 consultant and want to know how you get your leads? My first month I have netted about $ 150 after my initial kit cost but I am curious to find out how others find people to host parties .

Start with hosting at your own home. Offer door prizes, make it the best damn party anyone has been to. Offer a free gift to anyone who brings a friend that you don't know. Most people just like to get out of house.

If you have other friends with kids going off to school offer to do a "boo-hoo" breakfast or wine social at your home. I'd let them know in advance you'll be "gentle-selling" so they don't feel ambushed. But I think you'd find most moms would welcome the company! My oldest just moved out and I have been so sad.

If you have any friends or family that would be willing to host (even if you bring the snacks), most people love the excuse to entertain and socialize.

I have a friend who was very successful with Mary Kay, she often would host a party at her house with a complimentary product, she'd invite a rep from a jewelery brand and do "new looks for Spring" or whatever.

Hope this helps & good luck!
