Home now after amazing PPH stay (w/pics)

Even though we've been back home for days now we're still talking about it and reminiscing.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying the pictures, I'm so happy to share them. I love seeing stuff like this in other people's trip reports!

Jen, could you speak on the concierge perks? How much did you use the lounge? If you had received the room for which you paid (meaning, no upgrade), would the concierge costs have seemed "worthwhile" to you? Some of us are debating PPH concierge, and I know I have been a little disappointed to read about the extra things/hours DLH and GCH concierge guests receive.
The pics are amazing, and the more the better!

Thanks!
AJ

For my family, concierge is very much worth the cost but everyone has different criteria to judge the value with. We get breakfast each morning in the lounge, fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, juice, coffee, etc...not to mention the bottled water that we get to take to the parks. When we come back for an afternoon break we pop in for snacks and usually more waters (we are a VERY hydrated bunch ;) ) and then on our way back out to DL/DCA we stop in again and depending on what time it is, might have some of the appetizers and grab some waters again.

I personally love having the lounge available to us. Since we started booking concierge level rooms, we've had more stress-free vacations. We haven't tried concierge at the DLH but we did stay once at the GCH and honestly, even with longer hours, I prefer the lounge at the PPH. In fact, after having stayed a few times at each of the three DLR hotels, everyone in my family prefers PPH over the other two.

But again, you'll get a lot of different opinions on concierge and whether it's a good value so I think it's a very individual thing :goodvibes

Thanks, Jennifer. I figured as much. I'm glad to hear that it reduced some stress. That is one of my goals for my Type A tendencies when sightseeing: trying to find ways that reduce the stess of traveling with three small ones and letting things go with the flow.

We just got back and also did PPH Concierge. With your 3 little ones I think you will get the $/value ratio in your favor. Breakfast for the 4 of you, or 5 will set you back at least $40 in the park. Add all the water you can carry and soda then I see no reason not to do it. We didn't take any pics of the lounge but I do have some of the room and our view. www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2302209000461.138479.1406302301
