Hello all, we made it home -- in spite of the ice storm and snow storm here in Iowa. I want to be back on the Magic right now!
We had cat. 3 room no. 8032 and it was a fantastic room. Perfect location, just under the Cove cafe area. The verandah was huge. Our concierge team did a wonderful job. I needed an '05 pin for a fellow DIS board member and I had no idea how crazy some "pin" people can be! The last night of our cruise I was still without the pin and requested Ana's assistance. She came through, yeah!!! I will get it in the mail ASAP.
The weather was so so but it is the time of year. One just never knows. Grand Cayman was cold and Cozumel was hot. We made it to Castaway Cay, yeah, so we are 7 for 7.
The food was fantastic this cruise. Again no Palo. Our dining team was Boris and Maria. They were great. Out of all of the servers I have had since being diagnosed with Gluten intolerance, Boris new exactly what I could and could not have. Even our head dining room server was great because one night I could not preorder because the menu was not out. He stopped me during lunch and we figured out what I could have. We were told the 10 day and this New Year's cruise had special menus. I don't know if these menus are a permanent change or not.
Our room host was Somepop (sp?) but on day 2 of the cruise he broke his foot so Nigel took over.
If you ever get a chance to go on a Disney New Year's Eve cruise, GO! It was a blast. The Christmas decorations were still up and so pretty to look at. Also, a thumb's up for the new Pirate party them evening. That was a lot of fun.
We rebooked for March 18, '06--we are guessing that is our Spring Break. For others info, they still have Cat. 3's available that sailing and it is an Eastern which is our favorite.
