Home Depot or Lowes for kitchen cabinets...

Our friends did their kitchen 2 yrs ago, using Thomasville cabinets at Home Depot. I was very skeptical of how it was going to go (I'm a big fan of local small businesses, and Richmond has tons of kitchen places), but her kitchen turned out just beautiful. I think it just depends on your local Home Depot and the contractors they use.

Kirsten B, I'm in Midlothian, small world. Just got off the phone and yay, we can get a disount from Dupont on the corian. It's only 10%, but I'll take it.

wildernesslodgelover, I just wanted to tell you that you definitely need to check out some of your local kitchen and bath showrooms before deciding. I just went to a local one who was having a special 55% off all their cabinet mfr's prices. Granted I was looking at bathroom vanities but the quality far exceeded that of the stuff I saw at HomeDepot yesterday, and it was actually less expensive (because of the discount).
