Home decor souvenir shops?

We are planning our 4th trip to WDW but we haven't spent much time in any of the park shops except for the kids to pick out their souvenirs. Any shop recommendations for home decor items? I would like to display something year round in my home that reminds us of Disney that isn't too childlike or "cheesy."

Probably World of Disney. There might be some neat stuff in the Marketplace Co-Op, but that will depend on what stores are currently in there.

World of Disney for sure. There are a few other stores in Disney Springs that sell home décor stuff. Look in the stores that are on the same side of Disney Springs as the World of Disney. We have wooden coasters with Mickey's imprint, which are subtle but cool. My wife has a Disney apron that she hangs on the stove. There are a bunch of similar things that you can display without screaming cheesy Disney.

There was a super cute store in Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs. And as mentioned, WOD has a good home section too.

Bumping in hopes of a few more ideas, anyone?

They all basically carry the same thing but sometimes there's little things only found in certain ride shops so you have to be on the look out everywhere. For example haunted mansion and tower of terror themed items tend to mostly be around their park shops. Christmas unless it's christmas time tends to be around the different xmas shops found in most parks. You're really going to need to just take some time and check out what each shop has and don't forget to check in any resorts as you pass through them.

There is the newer tea shoppe in marketplace near earl of sandwhich, that has some houseware type things but again stuff I see all over and in the resorts... Grand Floridian and Contemporary have a pretty decent selection in their resort shops if your staying at our planning to spend time at those resorts. your own resort will have some stuff...

Disney has really gotten away from each shop being different but there are some exceptions to that. World of disney is probably the largest collection of everything in 1 place (or close to it) with more trendier stuff being in the co-op nearby.

On the topic of Haunted Mansion themed items - I purchased a 3 piece set of plates from Memento Mori that I have placed on the wall but could ease be used for entertaining guests. Each plate has a floor plan from one of the three floors in the haunted mansion.

My absolute favourite souvenir is the trash can themed S&P shakers I bought in 2013. They just make me happy.
Not what I would consider overly subtle - but for the non Disney Theme Parks aficionado they make a great conversation starter ;)

I love Larry Dotson art prints. I have one of all the resorts I have stayed in. They don't scream "Disney" but they are a nice reminder of my vacations at WDW.
I'm thinking of getting the World Showcase pavilion ones this next trip.

I love things for the kitchen, so I have disney spatula, dish towels, oven mitt, trivet, and bamboo serving tray. We also have the bamboo mickey coasters. They are super cute and not crazy expensive. Oh, and I also got the disney white towels for our guest bathroom. They are all white, with the mickey head silhouette on them.

Head into ye ole christmas shoppe in MK, they've turned these into a larger set of tree ornaments.

I got a bunch of homeware type stuff at FW. They had a fairly big selection there, maybe cos people are cooking for themselves?

We have those too--the trashcans & the HM plates. DW & I have a quarterly wine & cheese tasting session and we use the HM plates for cheeses, crackers, bread, crudites, etc.

@Accident --Bryan thanks for the heads up on the trashcan Xmas tree ornaments. We'll be looking into those.

Mousegears at Epcot is always our favorite. They have a ton of things. If you are a haunted mansion fan, Memento Mori by the ride has some fun things.

At $20 bucks a pop I might just buy another set of the shakers (for $10 each) and run an ornament hanger through the holes on top.:scratchin

Jeepers!

And with our current Canadian exchange rate that comes out to about $567 (maybe a small exaggeration).

I'm with you. Good plan. :thumbsup2
