The small project turning into huge project.....

new countertop......awesome!
cupboard underneath......now too small to support such a large granite top

so......

DH and I have been looking at new "peninsula" "island" cupboards
but when they add in all the fluff, like toe kick, and doors and handles, etc
the price becomes

we have priced in three different stores...all

so today at the home store
DH just bought stuff to make a cupboard....

he is so handy

I finished my packing today...the only thing left to go into my suitcase is my hairbrush which I will throw in Wednesday morning.

I still need to get our carryon packed. It will hold our plane reading material, sweathshirts, and my Disney folder

I finished charging my camera battery and I just need to put my camera and cell phone in my fanny pack (hopefully I won't forget my cell phone this trip)

Mom just told me we are supposed to get lake effect starting at 4pm today...it is supposed to be pretty windy too so I am pulling for a snow day tomorrow

Now--I would bet you almost never get snow days! We rarely do & if we do it is usually do to the cold

We never get snow days...ever! We are usually the only school in ALL of western NY when the weather is bad

hardly any of the school districts in my area get them.......BIG snow moving equipement 'round these parts!

a few of the communities south (where I used to live) & east of me will get them..........but that's rare too.........

It is so windy here today!
We're expecting snow flurries a few times this week and the temps are going down from here!

we were supposed to have a foot upon waking up this morning

nothing............

it was very windy though...........kind of a good thing, dried the roads so they wouldn't be too slick

it did start snowing a couple of hours ago...........an inch or two now

will probably have the foot, just in time for work tomorrow........
