Scary stuff!

Pakistan has launched an offensive against local Taliban fighters.

What's scary is this:

Pakistan is committing two divisions totalling 28,000 soldiers;

Taliban forces number estimated between 10,000 and 20,000 soldiers;

Uzbek fighters supporting Taliban: estimates widely vary between 500-5,000 soldiers.

It's all out war.

Can we help now BUT help Pakistan?

My neighbors just moved here from Pakistan. They were scared to death living there. Luckily the husband is a doctor, so they were able to get a work visa for the family within 6 months. The rest of their family is still in Pakistan, and it's a terrible situation. I wonder how involved the US is going to get with the recent hostility there. Scary for everyone.
