Exactly... go Tom, but thank God for Adam!

Oooh Patriots fans!! Adam is my favorite...he was heaven sent! :goodvibes

I've also been a bit of a Pat's fan, but when you acquired my former Wolverine QB, that was a big shot in the arm! Besides that, not like I'm gonna' get teh chance to route for the Lions in the near future! Sorry Jenny, I've hijacked.

Yeah, I always wonder what would have happened if Drew Bledsoe didn't get hurt?
As for the Lions, they could turn around...I know they lost their first two preseason games, but who puts any faith in those? ;)

Yeah, I almost feel bad for Drew. My crystal ball preditcs tthat the Lions will do very poorly, start to make a comeback mid to end of season, make us all excited that they could get a Wild Card spot and then crash and burn. Just they way they seem to like to do things. I'd be reall happy if that didn't happen, though.

I know, it's funny to think of all that's happened to the Pats after that stupid broken finger of his!! I have to admit I'm a bandwagon fan - my husband has been a Pats fan since he could say 'football' but I couldn't care to watch it. Till they started winning! Now most fall Sunday's you'll find me sitting alongside him shushing the kids so I can hear the TV

No problem hijacking - we're just passing time till pattyt graces us with her presence and makes her 3000th post... which had better be in this thread!! :cool1:

Just continuing my hijack to keep it near the top!

Ther erason there are bandwagon fans is that it is kind of hard to be joyful and excited about a team that stinks!

LOL Carrie! Good point! :rotfl2:
I have been a football fan since I was 7 years old and a Patriots fan for about 10 years. I became a Patriots fan the same year Adam Vinatieri was a rookie! :) Talk about a lot of disappointing seasons! Yikes!

Where is Patty today??

That's funny. I started going to college games at 7. DOn't know if you could have called me a fan, though. More of a victim of circumstances! I got really upset when that clock stopped. I did catch Anthony Carter's infamous catch, although I don't know that anyone outside of thw midwest would know how big that is!

Oh Patty.....

LOL Carrie, I understand...at the age of 7, I quickly understood that Sunday afternoons meant football for the whole family. I remember my parents taking our family to a Patriots game back in the 70's, but of course, being so young, I hated every minute and was very upset that it lasted a whole 3 hours! LOL

Now I could kick myself for not enjoying it more...what I would give for Patriot tickets!! :rotfl2:

Ohhhh Patty..... :rolleyes1

I was in hs before I realzed what season tickets to U of M games meant to people. "You mean, you've never been there??" :confused1:

We went to a few Lions games, but there were too many beer drinkers to make it a great family day then. I also went to several Pistons games, although basketball is not my sport. Mt dad landed some awsome WIngs tickets from a client when I was in hs. Plus his company tickets were great. I will never forget teh look on a kid in schools face who said "I thought I saw you on ESPN at teh WIngs game last night!" Yup. Very possible. I thought we were poor because we didn't have cable. :teeth:

Bwahahaha! We didn't have cable either when I was growing up, so watching Monday Night Football was like a holiday in our house!! ROFL~

I have only ever been to that one Patriots game as far as sports go. I wish I could have got tickets to the home opener on the 8th! The entire season was sold out with in 30 minutes! It is great that the Patriots are winning, but sucks if you want tickets to your teams games!! LOL
