I was just checking the gas prices for the drive down next week and noticed that the most expensive gas we are going to pay happens to be the closest to oil rigs and refineries. Florida by far of all the states on I-75 especially in the disney area is way more expensive than everyone else. The cheapest state happens to be Ohio, which for years used to be the most expensive state for gas. Gas in the "World" and area is still running in the 2.70 range. On I-75 in Ohio gas is at 1.96/gallon. How is this possible? Talk about gouging tourists! If you are driving down check this website first.

It will give you all the gas prices for the states and canada plus you can check by county if you know what counties you will be travelling through. Just thought this info would help.

We were thinking about taking our Motorhome when we go down to Disney in
Feb.07 and we checked our AAAfuelcostcalculator, and that made up our mind. We'll pay a 2/3 less if we take our van. That's a good site to calculate your total gas expense from home to Disney and back home. Good luck.

Try the following site. It calculates approximately how much money you will spend on gas depending on the type of vehicle you use. The only thing is it starts when you get into the states. At least it gives you a rough idea on how much you'll spend in US funds.

We drove down in October, and paid anywhere from $2.85-3.10 per gallon. When we checked last week, it was $2.20-2.50. I figured I was saving $65 this trip. WDW was the most expensive last year too.

I like that site but it only goes back to 1998.. my Van is 1994 it would have been nice to know how much it would have cost if we drove instead of flying.

IF you need to find out the fuel economy for older vehicles, you can look them up on fueleconomy-dot-gov. It lists vehicles going back to 1985, and you can then plug this number into the AAA trip calculator by chosing "Other" as the vehicle year.

The last few times I was at Disney, the gas was cheaper on-site than off-site??? I was shocked...but it was true. Florida tends to have higher gas prices.

On Sept 10 2007 gas was $2,65/ gal in Disney Area and $2.71/ gal on the outskirts. I remember leaving Disney saying it will be cheaper on the way back to the airport, but I was wrong. :confused3

Was just checking gas prices today again and kentucky and ohio are about the same right now. Exit 76 on I-75 gas at the flying J is 2.05 that is in kentucky.
