holy crap make it stop...

While I'm not totally fond of the rain, the below 80º temperatures have been delicious! Best summer temperature-wise in a looooong time!!

Well at least you don't have the hot and sticky to go with the rain. Down here in Florida, I can't remember when last it didn't rain. All day and night. And it's over 90 degrees with a heat index up towards 100. So hot, sticky, wet, miserable here. Liightning blowing out the power so no a/c for hours. I need to move.

I caved and bought a raincoat. Unfortunately my plan backfired. Rather than finally ending the rain today we had a thunderstorm mixed in. My 5 year old asked me me why there is an outdoor pool in my city since it has rained so much lately.

I am sooooo tired of thunderstorms! We are getting another right now. Tomorrow or out towns fireworks (yeah I don't know why they are in a Thursday either) and they are calling for rain of course! Most of my status updates in facebook are me complaining about rain :(

I'd sooooo take your rain right now. There was a storm cloud last week out in the TX panhandle & I kept mentally willing it to come this way (I'm in the DFW area).

Want all 23 of the past 31 days of rain we got? A little rain in the summer is great this is beyond a little summer shower!

ETA Our local news just say since May 25th we've had 29 days of rain.. I think that's 9 days rain free. Totals for our area are in the 7" range and its not over yet. He is saying we are getting into a dry weather pattern the middle of next week.. blah I dont believe it they said that last week!

Count me in on the "rain train".. It's really beyond ridiculous now.. Worse yet, the past week and a half or so the dew point has been above 60 every day - making the air outside extremely muggy - even though the actual temperatures aren't that high.. I can't go outside at all in this weather for longer than 10 minutes or so - which means being held prisoner inside as long as the rain continues to hang around.. Right now it feels like it's been about 2 years!!:headache:

All I can say is...Oh...My...Gosh!!!!:crazy2: :headache: :scared:

I just checked the ten day forecast for southern Maine. Every day, except ONE, shows clouds, showers and low temps (60s, low 70s).

We've been in Maine since the first of June, and I think we've had maybe two days of sun. Our beach umbrella, beach chairs, towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, and cooler sit in a pile by the back door. I decided to give our grandson his beach toys to play with in the house. It may be the only chance he gets to play with them.

It's been too cold to use the screened porch, and the carpet is soaked where the rain has blown in through the screens. We're all going nuts!:crazy2: Scrabble is one of my favorite games, and I'm even sick of that!

My husband is flying into Boston on Friday. If he calls me one more time to tell me that it's 95 and sunny back in Tucson, I swear, he's WALKING from the airport to our house here!:rotfl: Today he was debating whether or not to bring his golf clubs with him. I suggested he leave them in Tucson and bring a rubber raft instead.

I WANT A SUNNY DAY SO WE CAN GO TO THE BEACH! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!:rolleyes2

3 days into July 3 days of rain. We are batting 100%

Sure wish you could send some of it out to SoCal. They've started mandatory water restrictions in L.A. You can only water on Monday and Thursday, before 9 or after 4 and only for 15 minutes, I believe.

I only want to add that my two weeks' summer vacation ended today... I had about 8 hours of sun total (2 half days), spent more money than ever before because instead of the beach and burgers on the grill it was breakfast out, a little shopping, a movie, and dinner out:confused3

So much for cheap STAYcations, it would have been less expensive and more fun to go almost anywhere than it was to stay here on the Cape!

Anyways, now that I go back to work, you can all be assured that the sun will shine:rotfl2:

..I'm off this week and it looks like good beach weather the end of the week:banana: (sorry)...when the sun came out today I hopped right in my pool...now I'm out on the deck having a couple of pictures in my sig:thumbsup2

We had that a few years ago & it was great & terrible. Great because the temps were cooler & we were in the midst of a drought & it really helped our precip totals. Terrible because the kids couldn't go swimming all that month because there was at least a 50% chance of rain every day in the month of June.

However, as I sit in my house with the thermostat struggling to keep the house below 80degrees & the outside temp over 100degrees, wet & rainy sounds really, really good.

My younger DS & DDIl are visiting her family on Long Island this week. I sure hope you're going to have nice weather for them.

We have had rain and cooler thank average weather every day for weeks now. Getting old.
Our flowers and plants are dying from root rot and not growing due to lack of sun

I complained to DH about having cabin fever in July!

One upside is lower electric bill because we don't need AC as much

I know the feeling. It has rained every day here in Western New York for so long that I have lost count on the exact days.

or I'm going to start building an arc...it's July and we haven't had an 80 degree day since May or a 90 degree day since April...rain, rain and more rain...well the good news is the town next to us took down their mandatory water ban sign:lmao::rotfl2:

Do you mean Hamilton with their sign? Or Danvers? Sounds like we live in the same area.

Tell them to bring an umbrella just in case.. :rolleyes1

Last month our electric bill was the lowest its EVER been. Didn't really need heat, didn't need A/C that was nice.. but honestly I'm going stirr crazy with the kids cooped up during the thunderstorms. I do let them out in the rain, just not with the lightning. We were standing out on the porch during one and we saw lightning strike just 3 blocks from where we were standing.. I have never heard anything so loud before in my life! :scared1:
