Did anyone else see the story on the Today show about Fort Campbell?
They have 220 babies due this fall!!!!


Matt Lauer said " it doesnt take a mathematcian to figure out that soldiers came home in Jan and Feb and now we have 220 babies due all around the same time... dont you guys have a bowling alley or a movie theatre there???"

I live here. I'm telling you it's in the water. They have built a whole new wing dedicated to delivering these babies. On post here we call it Operation Baby Boom. There are so many families expecting that women have been sent to the surrounding areas because of lack of space at the post hospital. I'm not one of the expecting because I was afraid when it was time for the baby to come I wouldn't have anywhere to have it..lol

If you come visit, drink bottled water...hahahaha

My 3rd child was a post-deployment baby! Congratulations to everyone and I do hope there is room to deliver them all!

You tease but you should see the waitlist for on post child care. One of the wives mentioned that the day I find out I'm preg and stil at Campbell then I need to get my name on the waiting list. This was BEFORE the baby boom coming. I can't imagine what it will be like afterward here at the child care centers. I sort of feel bad for them.....

I wish them all happy and healthy pregancies and deliveries.

Tina - I imagine there will be some problems with the numbers (having that many new babies in one place) but I think they will find a way to handle it.
