My BIL expressed an interesting in buying one. He said they cost about $800.

I've searched the net and can't seem to find the one he described.

Do you or anyone you know have one?

never heard of it, but if you get one invite me over

I have the real deal, a wood burning fireplace! :cool2:

;)

Fireplaces are nice, especially during the holidays.

You guys don't already have these??? They are old over here. LOL

I rememer seeing one in a home I sold about 2 years ago. It was really neat, looked like the real thing. I am not a fan of fireplaces, might put one in the next home we build.

My BIL bought my sister one last Christmas. They are nice and a great alternative if you can't have a real one.

Myst

We just put in a Fireplace Xtrodinaire. I guess you could call it a hybrid between a fireplace and a wood burning stove. It looks just like a fireplace, but burns like a stove and has a blower. Right now, it's 73 degrees in the house and the heat is NOT on. Here's hoping the oil bill gets squashed! :badpc:

We used a wood stove to heat the house when we lived in Maine. It was such a nice warm comforting heat and a two cords of wood would last us well into the spring. Sure beat a $400 plus monthly heating bill!
