Is it still as bad as it's always been? We've never been, as we usually get limited time in HS, and I always booked the better restaurants. But, this trip we're looking at spending four (that's FOUR!) Days in HS b/c of Star Wars Weekends. Thinking about booking a late breakfast here as a break for the kids. They know Little Einsteins and Jake, but not really into Oso. I'm more worried about the food.
Thoughts???

We've eaten there 2x as part of the Fantasmic dinner package and never had an issue. Not sure if we were luck or maybe we juats aren't picky:confused3

We went in 2010 for lunch. It wasn't horrible, but wasn't necessarily memorable. We're going next Thursday, on Thanksgiving Day. They're supposed to have a special Thanksgiving menu, so we shall see!!!

H&V is one of my husbands favorite breakfast places. I thought it was nice, simple, easy traditional American breakfast stuff. Nothing too fancy, but still tasty. The best part the two times we went was that it wasn't
as huge and overwhelming as most of the other Disney buffets are. We saw characters more than once and they were super friendly (at least one each trip absolutely insisted on having a picture with one of the grown ups, not just pics of them it's the kids).

I agree with the PP - this was my favorite breakfast the past September. The food was great with a good variety and the character interaction was wonderful - it wasn't just sign, take pics and walk away, the characters took their time (June danced with DD, Jake t one point snuck up and startled DD, and they came by more the once.) The kids also enjoyed the music and the little dance party sessions - a definite return for us!

We have never been for breakfast but we ate there once for lunch and it was awful. DS (then 3) loved Handy Manny at the time so that made up for it somewhat.

we have done the fantasmic pkg there quite a few times....the food isnt all that bad...remember different likes for different peeps..

We made reservations again for May as our granddaughter and her fiance are joining us for the Fantasmic pkg and show...

we are going to go and enjoy ourselves

We had the lunch there last week and thought it was great. I especially liked the lobster and shrimp macaroni and cheese. We also did a character lunch at Crystal Palace, and everyone thought Hollywood & Vine was far better.

Just wanted to weigh in on this resturant. My DBF and i eate here back in 2004 and the food was pretty good but he likes buffets. When we went i did notice how slow the busers were clearning the tables. Would i eat here again? more than likely. Dinner not breakfast.

It makes me happy to hear this. While we are going more for the character interaction than the food, it's nice to hear a positive review. DD can't wait to eat with Jake and Oso :goodvibes

We've done breakfast there twice with our small grandchildren, and I would do it again. The character interaction is the best of any of the places we've been (CPalace, Cape May, Tusker House, 1900 Park). The food is Golden Corral, and that's ok. There's plenty of it, there's a nice variety, it's hot when it's supposed to be, and the place is clean. As I said, we would do breakfast again.
