I've got an 8:25am ADR for HV - DHS opens at 9am.

How does the early admittance work? Any advantages to being within the park at that time?

I does not help as they have CM with ropes up and all that have been to say Hollywood and Vine have to wait until gates open and all then have equal chance to get fast passes or possibly into the ride they want.:cool1:

Yes, the rope thing stinks. Magic Kingdom doesn't do that if you get in early because of ressies. In fact, it's worse, IMO, at DHS, because of the mad rush to get to the toy story ride. Go to the toy story ride first, especially if you have kids. The wait is long, and fast passes usually sell out if you wait till later in the morning.

We had pre-park opening ADR in Epcot one year. The best part is that we could take lots of pictures of the kids without other people in them. Loved it! No you can't access the rest of the park, but the pictures thing is something you won't get at any other time.

I am in the same boat. Would it be better to switch to a 9:30 reservation and plan to get fastpasses before breakfast?
