Hollywood & Vine issues (early December)

I've been trying since 180+3 (an +5 for another day I checked) to get a reservation for H&V for breakfast or lunch on a couple days in early December. and there was absolutely nothing. I checked another day we can't do (we have BBB and CRT reservations that day) and it was wide open with tons of options all morning long. I've never had an issue before with H&V when booking at my 180+10.

Is there something going on that I don't know about?

H&V has become VERY popular over the last couple of years and seats for breakfast and lunch are very hard to come by.

We went in 2012 and had no problem getting an ADRt. When we went in 2013, it was all booked up for the longest time. Finally, a spot opened up for us a couple of days before we left for Disney.

For my ARDs on our upcoming trip in Nov-Dec, I wanted H&V for our Hollywood Studios day on Monday Nov. 30. At my 180 day, I was up at 6:00 am....and nothing. All booked up.
I found an open time slot on Friday morning, so I re-arranged our park days and moved HS to Friday just so we could do breakfast at H&V. It was one of the few things that my kids (and wife) said we needed to do no matter what!

I've changed my reservation multiple times, booked it just a couple months out, etc for multiple trips in the past few years including during free dining.

I was wondering the same thing...I have just been practicing ADRs and I have not been able to get anything at H&V and very little at Brown Derby the same day...I was wondering if something was going on I did not know about too...it does seem odd!

I tried today to book for our trip and there was nothing. Today is the first day we can book for ours. The agent on the phone was very confused why there was nothing available. She even checked to see if there is going to be some renovations or something for that time. She didn't see anything. I wonder if there is something special going to be going on there for that timeframe and they are holding back the tables. This was the only reservation I wasn't able to get for our trip.

I have been able to get H&V Fantasmic package for 19th December. I really wanted Mama Melrose, but that seems to be booked out up to 180+10

I got one for lunch on 12/15 (what I wanted). That would've been 180 +4 when I booked it.

It's been tough for this November too and was last year as well. Don't forget it's not only the only HS character meal, it's also the only Disney Jr character meal at all.

My kiddo got sick last year during our meal there (ugh it was a nightmare!) and missed seeing Jake and barely saw Sofia and Doc. The CMs fortunately remembered us 2 days later because even while at WDW, NOTHING opened up even with paid search, plus my constant searching, and not even anything for our hotel concierge who kept trying. Luckily, a manager there at H&V was able to squeeze us in (I called and thought we were going to be allowed to just be able to take a quick pic with each character but she arranged a table for us which was an amazing surprise!), but every time we have been there waiting for our table, they turn several other families away.

People have told us years ago they used to show up for a late breakfast or lunch and were able to walk in (or try to go on a list at 8 am and were told to check back around 10:30 or 11, but with Doc, Jake, and Sofia (poor Handy Manny, he's so sweet), there's no openings.

So if you see a time pop up, grab it. Also remember there's no characters after 4. We've seen people that didn't realize this each time we've been.

Thanks guys. Looking for Dec 7, 9 or 11 and have no luck with either breakfast or lunch and dinner isn't even showing up as an option. I'll keep searching though.

That sucks! I booked the F! package H&V lunch for dec 1st with no problem, but I was booking that at 180 +6. Have you looked under the fantasmic packages? I wonder if they are adding more to that and showing less availability for regular tables because of it? I have no idea honestly, I'm just throwing that thought out there.

Yeah, nothing for Fantasmic either. I'm actually helping a friend with this. She said she tried at 180+4 and no luck so I offered to help search ... I figured maybe we will get lucky stalking the system.

We tried at 180+5 for Dec 18th, and it didn't open as expected. We actually wanted Mama Melrose, but decided to try H&V as a second choice. Neither were available online or visible to CM. We continued checking a couple times a day. A few days later we were told that H&V was fully booked, but Mama Melrose doesn't seem to have opened for reservations past Dec 10th.

Strange goings on at DHS this December.

Haven't found any new availability, either, for December 11th.

My TA was on the phone for me at 180+10 and got me a lunch there with the F! Package at almost 2pm, but our sci-fi is at 5:30, and then there's the actual F! Itself, so I can't move the sci-fi to a later time.

She was trying to get me the F! Lunch at around noon, like I'd wanted, but there were no openings otherwise, so I've been stalking for an earlier time. There's nothing. Am hoping they just haven't released all the times. So strange that it would all be booked solid, especially since we're not going at free dining time.

I'm looking at the 2nd week of Dec and the dinner times for Hollywood & Vine aren't even released yet. It doesn't even give you dinner as an option. I wonder what is going on? Also, a friendly reminder, that characters are there for breakfast and lunch only.

I'm having similar trouble in November, as are others over on another thread. There's just nothing there. I can't even get anything for the entire week we're there - nothing. And like another said, dinner isn't even an option to choose a reservation time, but all the dinner menu etc. is still there. There's definitely something going on. We snagged a F! Mama Melrose (the only one available) as a back-up, but I am constantly checking for H&V. My personal thinking is that they're going to announce refurb/rebrand changes at D23 and they're not really opening up all reservations until then.

finally managed to book Brown Derby for 12/7 (not Fantasmic) yesterday but it was only bookable for parties of 2. For any other party size it came up unavailable. so we now have two reservations for 2 within 5 minutes of each other.

I have d same reservation like you.. But mine is actually the exact same time. Will CM gonna seat us together as 1fam? Or they gonna give us different table of 2? It's funny when I search for 4 it's unavailable but when we checked just for 2 person it appear twice .
